Bruise on nose bridge won't disappear. 1 month post-op.

Question

I had an open rhinoplasty 1 month ago. I still got a bruise on my nose bridge that won't disappear. Right under the bruise i got a bump that I think is swelling. The bruise looks exactly the same as when I got my cast removed 3 weeks ago, and it doesn't seem to get better. Should I be worried? Is this normal?

As we do not have pictures to accompany your question, I will assume that the coloration you have is a bruise.  While these usually do not last one month, it is possible.  With my patients I offer an IPL (intense pulsed light) session for free, which I find helps the bruise reabsorb more rapidly.  Given the area of fullness underlying this, I would have your surgeon re-examine this area to make sure there is nothing worrisome going on.
