Voluma for more dimension in an Asian face?

Question

I want more dimension in my face. I want filler in my forehead, possibly chin & a TINY bit in the bridge of my nose too to have even proportions after filler in my forehead. What filler would be the best for this? & what would be the best areas in my face to apply that filler? I actually am fine with my nose. I've seen some Asians get fillers in their nose bridge, and I don't like how it looks. I just don't want filler in my forehead then the rest of my face doesn't match the forehead.

Without photos, it’s difficult to say for sure what would work for you. I would caution you that these are very high risk areas in that there are a lot of blood vessels that connect to blood vessels that supply the eye. So make sure you only go to a very high skilled and experienced  board-certified dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon who performs the procedures themselves and  will give you a better idea of what needs to be done so you get the improved and balanced look you want with minimal side effects.

Adding dimension to your face involves adding to the bone contour, so I would generally prefer Voluma or Restylane Lyft. Typically Asians need the tear trough and midface volumized. I would not recommend volumizing the zygomatic arch or jaw line, which is more appropriate for a European face.

There are different types of injectable filler and each has its own characteristics (viscosity, water retention, longevity, etc).  For the areas that you have described, Voluma, produced by Allergan, probably will be a very good option.  Check with your doctor for their recommendation in your particular case.  Best wishes, Dr. Lepore.
