Will a temporal lift help to lift my cheeks upwards towards the temple?

I'm in my early 30's with slight cheek laxity after a heel one reduction. Will a temporal lift help to lift the cheeks upwards towards the temple? What are the cons to this procedure? Should I try endoscopic cheeklift instead?

It is easy to extend the temple lift into the mid-face area to lift the cheek.  This is performed by elevating over the cheek area and fixing it upward.  This is an effective method of lifting that we have used for years, especially if one does not desire an implant. We have published techniques for doing this for over 20 years

Hi always more helpful to see a picture of your concerned area.... but, to clarify, temporal “lift” will not do much in terms of lifting your cheek... but mid-face/cheek lift using a temporal “approach” will definitely help you... 
the difference lies in what Dr.keller alluded to which is in order to achieve an adequate mid-face/check lift, the surgical dissection need to pass inferior to your malar/ cheek eminence (aka the bucket-handle)... due to anatomical complexity in this area, technically speaking, some of us are very comfortable dissecting through this area, while others are not usually based on their background training.
you need to seek out a surgeon who truly understands the concept and complexity of mid-face/cheek lift using a temporal approach...... and not someone who simply advises temporal lift which will not help you... the biggest advantage is almost no visible scar as incision is hidden in your temporal hairline and if done properly, is a deep plane “vertical” lift which provides very natural lift. 
However based on your age, I would recommend seeking a surgeon well versed in surgical options as well as thread lifting such as Silhouette and PDO threads and energy based lifting such as Thermage  and Ulthera which are all FDA approved for varying degrees of mid-face and check lifting, often in conjunction with re-volumization using fillers or fat transfer.. and find out what are optimal options based on your age... good luck!

A temporal lift pulls the skin laterally toward the hairline and does not target the cheeks and midface region. If you are interested in addressing cheek laxity, then you may be a good candidate for a cheek lift.Since you are in your early 30s, you may benefit more from nonsurgical options like injectablefillers or facial fat transfer rather than cosmetic surgery. Temporal cheek lift? No-this won't lift much at 30 and you need vertical pull, not lateral. See a very experienced cheek lift surgeon to make sure you do not make a mistake.

Dear lacroix89, I recognize your name from an earlier post regarding elevating the cheek area with endoscopic browlift. I would suggest that you seek some consultations to determine the best course of action for the results you are desiring. Personally, when I perform an endoscopic browlift I do go down below the malar region and lift the skin, tissue and muscle back to its pre-aging position allowing a natural and more youthful looking appearance with increased cheek lift. A temporal lift will pull laterally which you do not want especially at age 30! I perfected endoscopic browlift with mid-face suspension fifteen years ago so my results are different then other surgeons. On a few occasions as in the video below I will use some fat grafting techniques in combination. This is a very rewarding procedure for younger ladies who are looking for fullness and youthfulness who do not want to have cheek implants.
