In our practice, we perform a non-surgical face lift / skin resurfacing treatment using Renuvion Helium Plasma Radiofrequency. To get the most improvement with skin tightening, we combine Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, CO2), microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy and InMode FaceTite. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. Is does appear you are showing early signs of ageing but at this stage non surgical skin tightening (renevion) or skin rejuvenation (co2 laser) would help improve the appearance of your skin making you appear youthful and radiant. Where you have started to lose a little volume this can also be replaced by dermal fillers or fat transfer. I feel having a facelift now would be too premature and the results will be minimal. The still pay the same money for little improvement. Please have a consultation with a board certified surgeon to discuss your options. I agree a facelift is not needed for yourself now. All The Best
Hello BeverlyA person’s age is best guessed by the appearance of their face. If you feel that your face does not reflect how young you feel inside, you may be a candidate for a facelift.
Some loss of volume (fat tissue) is one of the early signs of "aging". It is usually seen as a "droopiness" but there is really no sagging of the cheeks. It is actually small deflation of the cheeks and area around eyes and brows. Correction of the volume, in our hands this is best achieved with fat grafting, is the most natural way of rejuvenation; replacing missing fat with fat grafts. Procedure consists of harvesting fat with small cannula from patient's abdomen or thighs, preparing it and injecting into periorbital area (cheeks, lower eyelid, lateral orbit and brows) with a small 1 mm cannula. Volume improvement as well as change in skin color and texture (stem cell effect) are long lasting. In person evaluation and discussion about your options with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience in fat transfer would help. Good luck.
Thanks for your question and photos, although it is difficult to make an accurate assessment from images alone. It does appear you are beginning to experience some skin laxity along the jawline and loss of volume in the midface. While a midface lift is one option for reversing these early signs of aging, it isn’t the only one for you to consider. Since you are still relatively young, you may want to consider injectable treatments that restore volume in the midface for many months at a time. Another option is surgical cheek implants that can restore definition to the midface and also balance some possible asymmetry you seem to have in this area. Schedule a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon that can assess you in person and determine which approach will help you meet your goals most effectively. Best of luck to you!
Hi BeverlyI see minor signs of sagging of the midface. Depending on how much this bothers you, and how motivated you are, vs. what you want to avoid (surgery, cost, recovery, scars, etc.), a cheek lift may be an excellent option. I don't see that a neck lift would be a benefit to you.Hope this helps.sek
You appear to be a good candidate for a Endoscopic mid face lift. (You would need a physical exam to confirm this). I help to pioneer the surgery years ago. One of the first areas on your face to show aging is your mid face. This happens way before the development of jowls “turkey neck” etc. This is a great operation to rejuvenate the cheeks, and it helps to make your eyes more youthful. (Youthful eyes are impart determine by the anatomy located above and below the eyes. As the cheeks droop the eyes appear to look older. Cheek Fullness underneath the eyes are associated with youthful looking eyes). One of the beauties of this procedure is the fact that most of it is performed through a lower eyelid incision. I hope you find this information useful. Please watch the enclosed video.
In our practice we do not perform a mid facelift for a variety of reasons. The mid face does not descend vertically with aging process, rather it loses volume. The lateral face does descend with gravity and a facelift is required to restore that. When there is loss of volume in the mid-face, consider placement of temporary fillers in the office setting, or cheek implants performed in the surgical setting for more permanent augmentation to the midface. For many examples of cheek implants, please see the link and the video below

Hi, I have performed many SMAS facelifts for over 30 years and have performed many minimally, invasive SMAS facelifts over the past 15 years. Looking at your photos, the front portion of your right cheek is flat while the left cheek is quite prominent, there are signs of "jowls", I suspect that the chin is weak with evidence of chin ptosis (chin muscle sags off the chin at a 45 degree angle making the chin and lower appear elongated) and there is a slight amount of excess fat and skin under the chin. These factors combine to create a rectangular shaped face. "Jowls” are sagging facial tissues and the main indication for some form of a SMAS facelift. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last). The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular SMAS facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision SMAS facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane, cheek lift and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:very small incisions and no incisions extend or are placed within the hair.minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery ( several days instead of weeks or months with the more invasive type facelifts mentioned)can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesiano incisions within the hair = no hair lossexcess fat can be removed from the face and neckexcess skin removed from the face and neckcheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implantsmost patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-op I combine facial shaping with every facelift procedure. When jowls are present, these should be done in concert and not alone or separately in order to create a naturally, more attractive face. Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation with precise placement of an "off the shelf" dermal filler (I prefer using Restylane Lyft) will create full, round cheeks that will feminize and soften the entire face. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin. Chin augmentation using a chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick and highly effective. The implant will also rotate the ptotic chin muscle back up and onto the chin to correct the chin ptosis.Hope this helps.
Hi, it depends on how the zygoma was reduced (fractured). An XRAY (standard facial series) should determine the extent and position of the fractured segments. These segments will need to be secured and fixed, to one another as well as the temporal and malar bony portions of the face,...
Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
If the face is relaxing in the cheek area and the neck tissues are doing fine, a cheek lift can help to lift the cheek and remove excess cheek tissues. The incision generally begins at the top[ of the ear, flows down along the top curve of the ear, behind the little cartilagge in the middle of...
