I’ve noticed in the last year the my cheeks are becoming droopy and I’m considering getting a mid face lift. What can you recommend?
Answer: Non-Surgical Face Lift / Skin Resurfacing with Renuvion/J-Plasma -- add Lasers, Microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy, FaceTite In our practice, we perform a non-surgical face lift / skin resurfacing treatment using Renuvion Helium Plasma Radiofrequency. To get the most improvement with skin tightening, we combine Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, CO2), microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy and InMode FaceTite. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Early Signs of Ageing Thank you for your question. Is does appear you are showing early signs of ageing but at this stage non surgical skin tightening (renevion) or skin rejuvenation (co2 laser) would help improve the appearance of your skin making you appear youthful and radiant. Where you have started to lose a little volume this can also be replaced by dermal fillers or fat transfer. I feel having a facelift now would be too premature and the results will be minimal. The still pay the same money for little improvement. Please have a consultation with a board certified surgeon to discuss your options. I agree a facelift is not needed for yourself now. All The Best

Answer: Cheek lift: Is 35 a good age to get a mid face lift? Hello BeverlyA person’s age is best guessed by the appearance of their face. If you feel that your face does not reflect how young you feel inside, you may be a candidate for a facelift.

Answer: Fat grafting of the cheek and periorbital area Some loss of volume (fat tissue) is one of the early signs of "aging". It is usually seen as a "droopiness" but there is really no sagging of the cheeks. It is actually small deflation of the cheeks and area around eyes and brows. Correction of the volume, in our hands this is best achieved with fat grafting, is the most natural way of rejuvenation; replacing missing fat with fat grafts. Procedure consists of harvesting fat with small cannula from patient's abdomen or thighs, preparing it and injecting into periorbital area (cheeks, lower eyelid, lateral orbit and brows) with a small 1 mm cannula. Volume improvement as well as change in skin color and texture (stem cell effect) are long lasting. In person evaluation and discussion about your options with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience in fat transfer would help. Good luck.

Answer: Is 35 a good age to get a mid face lift? Thanks for your question and photos, although it is difficult to make an accurate assessment from images alone. It does appear you are beginning to experience some skin laxity along the jawline and loss of volume in the midface. While a midface lift is one option for reversing these early signs of aging, it isn’t the only one for you to consider. Since you are still relatively young, you may want to consider injectable treatments that restore volume in the midface for many months at a time. Another option is surgical cheek implants that can restore definition to the midface and also balance some possible asymmetry you seem to have in this area. Schedule a consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon that can assess you in person and determine which approach will help you meet your goals most effectively. Best of luck to you!
