I came here initially did laser treatment and I had consultation by Dr. Kang. He recommended lower blepharoplasty and I am really happy with the result. Then I decided to do some contouring for my body. He did liposuction and modified tummy tuck. It looks good now. I am happy with the overall result.
it was my first time receiving surgery which made me initially nervous, but dr kang's team made me feel very much at ease through the whole process! i felt comfortable with how they guided me through the ptosis/eyelid correction surgeries and how i was able to follow up with them throughout the course of the month. will absolutely be coming back and recommend this place to anyone who is considering an upper blepharoplasty!
I wish I came to Dr.Kang sooner as my condition was bothering me for years, he was through in explaining the procedure, what to expect and the after care, he was skillful, the healing process wasn’t bad, and after I healed, I looked younger and felt better about my appearance. THANK YOU Dr.Kang
I was recommended by a friend to come see Dr. Kang to get the lower blepharoplasty done and it was absolutely the correct decision! It has already been two years since I did the lower blepharoplasty in combination of thread lift and fat transfer to the face. I have somehow reversed aging and absolutely love my results even after 2 years! Everyone thinks that I look very well rested and have more youthful, healthy warming energy. Thank you Dr Kang for all your effort and I guarantee others to make their correct decision too!
I recently had eyelid surgery and facial threading performed by Dr. Kang and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation through the post-operative care, Dr. Kang and their team were professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. They took the time to answer all my questions, made me feel at ease, and ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The outcome looks natural and has exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Kang to anyone considering these procedures.
My experience was amazing!! Dr Kang is professional and caring doctor. The Doctor Office is clean and professional. I had lower eye blepharoplasty. During the procedure Dr Kang took his time and his gentle hands to make the surgery went smoothly and perfectly. The staffs were kind and polite. They explained the after care very clearly. Thank you Dr Kang! Highly recommend !!
I am currently a 44 year old male that was shy coming to a plastic surgeon’s office, but I had a great experience doing a full consultation with Dr Kang and the helpful nurses. I was throughly explained with the upper blepharoplasty procedure as I did not have lots of medical knowledge and they assisted with other ways to optimize my facial features. I trusted Dr. Kang and his artistic views and got a chin/nose filler and I am absolutely ecstatic about it! Not only my eyes look great, but my overall face is more proportional and I feel more confident!! In addition, he removed my sebaceous hyperplasia that was bothering me for a couple months on my forehead. If you feel unsure about your goals and desires, Dr. Kang will provide guidance for your needs:)
Dr. Kang and his staff are extremely kind and do a great job at making you feel welcome with lots of interesting conversations and funny banter. I initially came in for a fat transfer, but he told me I didn't need it and pointed out that I was probably feeling hollow because of my genetic protruding eye bags. They made me feel almost a decade older than I actually was, and only being in my mid 20s it was really getting to me. Barely even a week later, I went back and had a quick, painless lower blepharoplasty. The morning after the surgery I already knew the procedure had solved my problem. What I didn't expect was that it also improved the shape of my eyes a lot! I had some drooping going on which compared with the eye bags gave off a strange look. Now both are gone and I look a lot happier and less tired/depressed. Nobody could tell that I had surgery, even just a few days out. The recovery was also extremely easy. Overall very pleased with the seamless experience and would come back if I needed something else. I feel like he gave me the rest of my 20s back.
7 years ago, I came to get my fat bag removed by Dr. Kang and it was incredible. I came back since my upper eyelid started hooding and having excess skin that made it harder for me to see my peripheral field along with looking tired aimlessly. I’m currently 67 years old and my ptosis muscle has significantly weakened, thus his impairment of strengthening the ptosis muscle has allowed me to increase my eye aperture and reduce strain on the brows to constantly opening my eyes. Dr. Kang not only addressed my needs, but he made it natural and form fitting for my face. His 30 years of experience really shows vicariously and it shows his great knowledge of his eyes. Thank you Dr. Kang!
I had my double eyelid surgery using the partial incision method in August with Dr. Kang, and I’ve been so happy with the results! Growing up, I’ve always had some sort of double eyelid, but the shape was inconsistent and changed daily. I relied on tape to maintain the crease throughout the day, but after using it for about 10 years, I decided it was finally time to get the surgery. Although I knew the procedure costs way less in Asia, I chose to have it done in the US because I value the transparency here, and I wanted a doctor I could easily reach out to for post-surgery follow-ups. During my search, I consulted with two doctors. The first was a celebrity surgeon who recommended the suture method. However, he casually warned me that the suture line might break in a few years, requiring another procedure to fix it. I wanted a more permanent solution, which led me to Dr. Kang. He recommended the partial incision method—a less invasive option than full incision but more durable than the suture method. I knew Dr. Kang was the one the minute he recommended this method. Also, later it turned out that his pricing was more reasonable than the quote I received from the other doctor. My case wasn’t too complicated since my main goal was to recreate the crease I had been maintaining with tape. From the first consultation, I felt that Dr. Kang completely understood my goals. He demonstrated a deep understanding of the nuances of my facial features, often pointing out details I hadn’t even noticed about myself. The surgery itself went smoothly, and my downtime was about one week. Amazingly, I think my eyes started looking very natural just one day after the stitches were removed. I had to hide the fact that I got the surgery from my family because they’re very against plastic surgery, but the result is so natural that even my mom hasn’t noticed to this day! Maybe she still thinks that I have my tape on all day long haha. I also recovered quickly and was able to travel internationally just three weeks after the procedure. I really appreciate Dr. Kang and his entire team. The nurses were so sweet, attentive, and supportive throughout the process. If you’re looking for a doctor well-versed in Asian aesthetics, I highly, highly recommend Dr. Kang!
Hello, great question! In general, no matter age of patient, we don’t usually encounter a situation where the transferred fat can cause permanent sagging of the face, though it can appear that way temporarily during immediate swelling phase... what we see though is consultation for too much fat placed elsewhere and making the face unnaturally puffy looking and round looking... Even though it is just one view, the before and after picture show your Surgeon understands the artistry involved in contouring Asian faces...I also perform lots of fat transfer to revitalize the lost volume and recontour the face back to more youthful look... in order to achieve successful outcome, the Surgeon needs to understand the inherent difference in bony anatomy based on patients ethnic make-up... I think he has done an artistic job in highlighting the attractive aspects of your face while softening the harsh aspect..... I can see that the prominence of your cheekbone has been softened, but. there is still mildly “sunken in” appearance which bothers you... this can usually be touched up either with fat or filler.... interestingly, very often that mildly “sunken in” appearance is requested by my patients to achieve a more “V-line” appearance that many patients desire...In my practice fat transfer is performed under local and I always reserve the last 20% of fat transfer so patient and I can decide collectively where we want to concentrate the last 20% in the face in an inter-active manner...Go see your Surgeon for your concerns as he has the talent to help you.. Good Luck!
Great Question. You need to find a Board Certified Surgeon specializing in General Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, or Oculoplastic Surgery who have spent many years during training in thoroughly learning the anatomy of the eyes; and, observing and assisting many experienced Surgeons operate in and around the eyes. In my opinion finding the Surgeon who knows the anatomy and is familiar with variations of the anatomy which can affect the final outcome of the surgery is the most important. So do your due diligence in finding a Surgeon who is properly trained and truly familiar with the variations of the anatomy encountered in and around the eye region. Second would be the Surgeon’s artistic sense and technical skill. Usually it is safer to seek a Surgeon at least five years or more into their Clinical Practice during which time they would have either incorporated “Asian double eyelid surgery” into their “bread and butter” part of their surgical practice, or not; and by this time they would have had 1) enough reviews on the various Surgeon rating sites and 2)should have developed adequate portfolio of “before and after” pictures for you to decide whether Surgeons’s artistic and visual sense is in alignment with your sense of how your double eyelid should come out after surgery. As far as technique advancement over the years, there have always been nuances in techniques that ultimately affects the final outcome of the surgery. What has changed the most over the years is the visual sense of Surgeons from creating more round, westernized eye to now, more almond shaped, natural appearing eye with a fold the patient “might” have been born with. When I started my practice roughly 25 years ago, I saw too many Surgeons performing “attempted Westernization” technique which looked awful and were coined “sausage eyes” because lids looked too high and forever swollen and unnatural lending the eyes out of place with the rest of the face. I see whole lot less but still consult on patients for revision surgery after this type of surgical outcome. Try to avoid this outcome. Avoid unnecessary visible scars for sake of lengthening the eyes medically and laterally. Finally avoid the Surgeon performing exclusively suture technique because not everyone’s anatomy is amenable to this technique. In summary, there are enough nuances in the anatomy and of various techniques that you want to seek a Board Certified Surgeon who specializes in Asian double eyelid surgery. Good Luck!
Hello I am glad you are enjoying the effects of the Botox other than noticing worsening of the undereye fat bag... the reason why this is happening is the Botox is getting near the undereye muscle which weakens from aging process and is now more weakened by the Botox, further accentuating the lower eyelid fatbag and the puffiness. Immediate fix would be not to Botox in the vicinity of the fatbag... long-term fix would be to undergo undereye fatbag surgery.. Talk to your Plastic Surgeon about these options and you will be glad you did... Good Luck!
Hi you didn’t mention how old you are and if you need fat anywhere else in the face.. paranasal area is a great place for fat transfer but usually requires at least two sessions for permanent volume restoration. If this area is your only concern, Radiesse filler can be initially placed to give you an idea and may be substantially more economical than fat injection, and can last up to a year..... my other favorite option to this area is your own cartilage implants harvested from the ears... Good Luck
Hi always more helpful to see a picture of your concerned area.... but, to clarify, temporal “lift” will not do much in terms of lifting your cheek... but mid-face/cheek lift using a temporal “approach” will definitely help you... the difference lies in what Dr.keller alluded to which is in order to achieve an adequate mid-face/check lift, the surgical dissection need to pass inferior to your malar/ cheek eminence (aka the bucket-handle)... due to anatomical complexity in this area, technically speaking, some of us are very comfortable dissecting through this area, while others are not usually based on their background training. you need to seek out a surgeon who truly understands the concept and complexity of mid-face/cheek lift using a temporal approach...... and not someone who simply advises temporal lift which will not help you... the biggest advantage is almost no visible scar as incision is hidden in your temporal hairline and if done properly, is a deep plane “vertical” lift which provides very natural lift. However based on your age, I would recommend seeking a surgeon well versed in surgical options as well as thread lifting such as Silhouette and PDO threads and energy based lifting such as Thermage and Ulthera which are all FDA approved for varying degrees of mid-face and check lifting, often in conjunction with re-volumization using fillers or fat transfer.. and find out what are optimal options based on your age... good luck!
