Why is my nose wider/fuller? (photos)

Question

I have noticed in the last 5 years or so that my nose looks puffy and wider at the bridge. It wasnt like this before. Is this normal aging?? Do I need a nose job? I had Restylane under my eyes which Im still happy with but it was definitely like that way before. I am attaching 2 pics where I feel I didnt have this weird puffiness and I am the same weight in both. They are taken roughly 15 years apart. Help!

I think that in general the nose usually stays the same except for perhaps the tip cartilages and the sagging of the tip which can happen with time. If you are unhappy with your nose, perhaps something can be done for you.

It is very difficult to determine, since both photographs  are at different distances, and the lighting is completely different. It's doubtful that your nasal bones  have changed much, unless there was trauma to the nose. To narrow a wide nose such as this requires osteotomies placed in the nasal bones. I think part of the issue is the lighting that is causing your nose to look wider. On your earlier photo, the sidewalls of the nose are shadowed which is creating a narrower appearance to the nose. The most recent photo has no shadowing and is showing all aspects of the nose which is causing it to appear wider. Either way, a rhinoplasty could refine this area as well as the nasal tip. Schedule a consultation to get a thorough evaluation including photos and computer imaging.
