I had lipo 4 months ago on my knees, and it’s left me with ugly holes on my knees. I get questions about it all the time and I hate how noticeable it is. Will they fade? They are deep so I’m worried. Should I have the lasered?

Answer: Liposuction scars Thank you for your question and photos. Four months after liposuction, it is possible that the access site scars will continue to improve - lighten and flatten. Yours are a bit depressed and I wonder if they were closed at the time of surgery, which could explain their appearance. It may be advisable to wait a bit longer -- 2 to 6 months -- to consider revision, whether with laser or other modality. If this continues troubling you, it may be best to discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon so that he/she can help formulate a plan. Best wishes!

Answer: Liposuction Scars Your scars will continue to heal for up to a year. If after that they are still prominent, talk to your surgeon about options for improvement. Good luck.
