Unfortunately the most likely explanation is indeed your prior liposuction, which has resulted in a contour deformity. The options are several, all of which can be narrowed down only in the context and an in person evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon. The simplest solution might be Coolsculpt to try to flatten out the surrounding bulging areas such that the entire lower abdomen becomes more uniform. The second simplest is to consider fat grafting to the sunken area, but this mar require a combination of limited corrective liposuction to the surrounding areas, with or without some re-injection into the sunken area. The third possibility is a form of abdominoplasty (mini versus full, floating umbilicus versus traditional).

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Most likely the dent is from your former liposuction but this fortunately can be improved with a tummy tuck procedure to surgically excise the area of irregularity. Hope this helps.

This can occur from any lipo and particularly occurs on the abdomen. Many times women like yourself opt to have this corrected with a tummy tuck.

A tummy tuck will improve the area that concerns you. In this procedure excess skin and fat are removed and abdominal wall laxity is corrected. The stretch marks located below the belly button will also be removed. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

The best way to fix this dent is to remove your extra skin. If you only have loose skin below your belly button, then a mini-tummy tuck will be good enough. Otherwise, if you have loose skin all over including above your belly button, then a standard tummy tuck will be best. If you are not interested in having any skin removed, you can use fat grafting to place some fat back into the area in order to fill the dent, but it will still not be perfectly smooth or wrinkle free simply due to the loose skin that you have. Yes it can be improved. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that your plastic surgeon be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.

While it is not possible to give specific advice based on one photo, I can tell you that a tummy tuck or mini-tummy tuck will release any "tethered" skin from previous procedures and remove it.
