Indented abdominal scars: what are my options to make them look better? (Photos)

Can anything be done about indented abdominal scars? It's 23 years old, from Surgery as a baby. It's never stretched just looks worse when I have more fat on me. I'm currently 15 weeks pregnant and I'm hoping it stretches a bit but most say it'll stay the same. What options do I have to make it look more normal?

Scar revision surgery can correct this issue, however the procedure would need to be performed after you’ve given birth and have stopped breastfeeding. This is for the safety of your baby.

Get through the pregnancy and then reach out to a plastic surgeon who is board certified.  Subcision and fat grafting usually fixes contour irregularities like this however it may take more than one fat graft session to correct optimally.  Best Wishes!!

A scar revision should help improve the area that concerns you.  It is best to wait until a few months after childbirth to address it so that your body has some time to recover from pregnancy.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from scar revision. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
