I bumped my head 10 days after my FUE procedure, could I have caused any damage? (Photos)

Question

I bumped my head after 10 days. The bump is against an edge of a cabinet, from back to front rubbing fashion as I pulled my head up. This was after washing my hair. No bleeding, no graft were dislodged. I did noticed a bunch of stuff on the edge of cabinet but they were the scab/residue from the antibiotics ointment that hasn't yet came off. I did see one hair, but it may have been my eye lash that was on my hand from face washing. No irritation from the impact. Should I be concerned?

If you are concerned please follow up with your doctor for an exam. If you did not bleed or find a rice grain sized tissue, then you should not be concerned about hair graft loss.

Usually if you were to lose a graft there would be bleeding. As long as there was no bleeding, it is unlikely you caused any damage.

By day ten, a minor bump without any bleeding should not have done any damage to your grafts.

You should be fine. At 10 days, the grafts are pretty secure in their new location. It's especially reassuring that you did not see any bleeding or dislodged graft. I would continue to follow your surgeon's postoperative instructions. Grafts should begin to grow in about 4-6 months with full results at around 12 months. Best of luck!

Hi, How are you? Grafts are only the most vulnerable for the first 3 days. After that they pretty much hold and stay into place. This does not look too bad. However, if you are concerned I would reach out to your surgeon and make an appointment to  go in for a follow up.

After 3 or 4 days, the grafts are healed in place. It would take more than a bump to the head to do any damage!! With no bleeding, it is unlikely that there is any damage to the grafts,Dr. Robert Jones

From what the photos are showing, you will be fine and will not have damaged the hair transplanted grafts in the recipient site
