I had 3500 grafts done with FUE hair transplant. I washed my hair gently massaging on day 8-9 post op. Normal?

My instructions said lather days 7-14. But all the crusts came out on day 8-9 while gently massaging with shampoo. today is my 11th day and it Doesn’t look like I lost any grafts. Can you tell me if this ok?

This looks fine. If you were to lose any grafts during the washing, it would likely bleed. As long as there was no bleeding, it is unlikely that you have lost any tissue.

It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery issues and care since all doctors have slightly different instructions.

After a week, the grafts should be secure and not damaged by gentle removal of crusts.  It is normal to have small hairs come of with the crusts

From the photos, you look like you are healing beautifully. The goal is to achieve survival of every follicle that has been transplanted. If you are bleeding or seeing follicles falling out, then you are not showering correctly and should speak with your surgeon. It doesn't sound like this is the case for you. Yes, if you lathered and the crusts came off and you did not rub them hard, then it is OK. Grafts can be unstable for up to 12 days if you a rough with the massage, see an article I wrote on graft anchoring
