Dear AnnemarieI think you have a realistic sense of what kind of result can be achieved with a rhinoplasty. You have thin skin across your nasal dorsum and medium thickness skin around the tip. From the pictures, you have good cartilage support of your ala. This combination is a great foundation for getting a natural, refined and long lasting result with rhinoplasty. Look for experienced surgeons who are well trained and certified by the American Board of Plastic (or facial plactic) surgery. See more than one consult so you can make a well informed decision.

Based on the views provided, and short of an examination, I happen to think you are a good candidate for cosmetic tip rhinoplasty. The goal would be to create a natural looking tip that is more refined and narrowed. Conservative natural rhinoplasty for the bulbous tip, etc. emu are an excellent candidate for conservative surgery that does not overdo your nose. Make sure you choose a surgeon who does natural noses that you like since that's what you will be getting. Do not rely on imaging.

Your concern is understandable and it is realistic to consider rhinoplasty to get the improvements you are looking for.   In my practice I use computer imaging to help patients visualize the potential changes to the shape of the nose while developing a surgical plan.  Narrowing the tip of the nose will be a nice complement to your other facial features.

physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full
medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the proposed operative
procedure with you and your parents may not be in your best interest. I would
suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic
Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic
Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and
are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in
person.

I believe you can reduce and refine your tip.  When you are in your consult, discuss all issues with your surgeon.  While you are speaking only of your tip, the photos you shared of the actresses have thin narrow noses and tips.  See a surgeon with much experience in rhinoplasty for the best, most natural look!

Dear Annemarie, First of all I want to tell you that you look great as a brunette and your new hair color and lips help balance out your facial features nicely. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty surgery and your expectations of a nice natural looking nose should easily be met in the hands of a skilled rhinoplasty surgeon. I would suggest seeking consultations from some experts in the field and you can have digital imaging done to show you the proposed surgical result. Once this result is agreed upon then your surgeon can discuss exactly what needs to be done surgically to attain the desired result. Review your consulting surgeons before and after photographs as well as their imaged photographs so you can see how close in proximity the desired result was to the patients final result. I believe you can refine your nasal tip.  How much depends on skin thickness.  Find a board certified surgeon who does a lot of rhinoplasties for the best result.  Good luck.  Donald R Nunn MD Atlanta Plastic Sur
