Answer: Fractured nasal bones If after one week you still have residual deformity of your nose as visible in the frontal view I would do as as a first line of management a manipulation of your nasal bones under local or general anaesthetics which is usually successful. If left beyond 2 weeks the procedure becomes diffucul and later on you may need a formal rhinoplasty!in my experience imaging would not alter the management and may may only medico legal value!best wishesJawed TaheryConsultant ENT/Facial Plastuc SurgeonChester,UK

Answer: Nasal trauma You may have sustained a nasal fracture from the trauma that you had a week ago. Some of the deformity may be due to swelling, some may be due to a fractured nasal bone that is displaced. An X-Ray is not a bad idea to definitively say if the nasal bones are fractured. If they are, the best approach is to get a closed reduction to move the nasal bones back into place. The best time to do so is within a 14 day time period.Hope this helps and best of luck.
