I am finding my CG very uncomfortable as I have a short torso. I am wondering if there are any alternatives I am 10 days post op full tummy tuck
Answer: No compresssion Compression garments are not absolutely necessary after a tummy tuck. In fact, at 10 days, I never use them for my patients. Ask the plastic surgeon.

Answer: Compression Garment After Tummy Tuck It is very common to get frustrated with the garment at this stage of the game. I recommend you wear a thick cotton t-shirt under it until you find something else you can tolerate. Your surgeon will absolutely have recommendations, but my office ladies who have had tummy tucks recommend a hook and eye corset from maidenform. Apparently they sell at JC Penney for about $35 and are dramatically more comfortable than our standard garments.Good Luck, You're Gunna Love It!!!

Answer: What can I use as compression garment alternative after Tummy Tuck? It's best to check with your surgeon to see what garments they would like you to wear. One option is to wear a lighter weight garment such as Spanx. You may find that they are more comfortable for long term where.

Answer: Compression garments after tummy tuck We understand how frustrating the abdominal binder can be. Transitioning into a high waisted panty is usually more comfortable for our patients. We have suggested Spanx or similar in the past and experimented with different alternatives. One of our patients recommended Self Expressions by Maidenform and my patient coordinator found them at Target. The most important thing is that you continue to wear support and follow your surgeon's instructions. Best of luck to you!
