bri1 102. I appreciate your concern but your asymmetry may be related to your braces. Your asymmetry is only apparent when you smile, so correction must be done with great care because your lips are quite attractive when in repose. I recommend correction with a filler like Juvederm Ultra plus by an experienced injector very conservatively because over correction will cause another asymmetry. If you like the result, then you can consider fat transfer for a longer lasting result. Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist with lots of experience treating lips. Good luck!
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Some lip and facial asymmetry is the norm rather than the exception and I would not recommend much treatment for you based on the fact that you have very symmetrical and full lips when in repose. When you smile it appears that one side of your mouth "pulls" a bit stronger than the other and attempts to correct this would not only be unlikely to work but also change your resting lip position.
Dear Bri1102,it is hard to tell without an examination. Generally speaking, dermal fillers and Botox can be used to address crooked lips. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Minor facial asymmetries are quite common. Botox and fillers can be used to improve symmetry and restore balance. Sometimes no treatment is recommended. Please be sure to see an expert for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your concerns and your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Thank you for your question and pictures. First, it is completely normal to have some asymmetry of the face. Dermal fillers and Botox can be used to improve symmetry. I recommend seeing an expert in your area for a proper consultation and treatment plan. All the best, Dr. Michon

Tigolbittiess. Physical exam is really needed, but it appears that the lump may be scar tissue. Sometimes we bite our lip while sleeping and dreaming, or other trauma to the lip and subsequent scar tissue forms. This can be remedied by excision of the scar tissue. It can be performed under ...
Asvehla. You have a very pretty smile and your lip asymmetry is minimal. While your asymmetry is probably due to different muscle activity, it is very hard to correct with Botox and more likely to over-correct and make the asymmetry worse and your smile unnaturally crooked. My advice; Do No...
Thank you for your question. It would be helpful to see photos and to examine you in person. Have you met with each surgeon after the procedure to review the results? Always work with a board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
Thanks for your question- This amount of swelling can be perfectly normal. I've found that some fillers create more swelling than others... Perhaps you had one of those. Without more details, I cannot say for sure that this is normal though. How many syringes? What product? Was it immediate or ...
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to learn more about your options to eliminate lip filler. Best wishes,
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. I would advocate placement of a think filler that has very little "lifting" effect and rather affords a subtle increase in only lip volume. I would advocate for Volbella. Be sure to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon in consu...
