I was injected with a V formation of xeomin in my forehead Day 1 of Jan. It made the front of my eyes go down in this angry way. I can't stand it. We're going on the 5th month. Very little movement has come back. Only ever so slightly. The front brow area is showing no signs of lifting. Im panicking that I will be that person where it will last a year. My eyes just look down trodden in the front area and I don't feel like myself. Cant be permanent? By the end of June will it go back to normal?
Answer: YES IT CAN I recently presented a study at the Boston Meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgery comparing Botox to Xeomin. 10 patients were injected with 8 units of Xeomin on the right forehead and 8 units of Botox on the left. Selfie videos were used to document results. All patients were paralyzed by three days, both sides identically. 9 patients stayed paralyzed 3-4 months equally on both sides. 1 patient stayed paralyzed 7 1/2 months equally on both sides! This was a surprise. I have developed techniques and dosages for Botox since the early 90s when it was off label. Patients occasionally claimed their Botox lasted 6 mos. to a year which I dismissed as wishful thinking. Now I have documented the phenomena which makes all previous studies comparing one patient to another null and void.Hang in there. It will eventually wear off.

Answer: Unhappy with Botox/Xeomin/Dysport--Add Venus Legacy No, it won't be permanent and Botox results generally last 3-4 months in new areas of treatment. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist. Venus legacy treatments may give improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Botox Long Lasting Effects I have never seen botox last longer that 5-6 months time. It is usually about 4 months time before it has completely worn off, but I have seen in some patients last a bit longer.I would give it another months maximum before you see the botox wear off.Hope that helps.

Answer: This can vary from patient to patient. Thank you for your question! This can vary from patient to patient. Everyone has a different duration of effect with their treatments. Your body has specific characteristics that affect the extent to which Botox lasts. It may wear off in 3 months, or take up to 6 or even 8 months, depending on the area. Some patients claim that the more they receive Botox injections, the longer it lasts. Best of luck!

Answer: Xeomin results Thank you for your question Jacquelinesuzanne. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. Dysport and Xeomin are common alternatives. It is difficult to make an assessment without before and after photographs. However depending on the circumstance, sometimes Botox can be used to correct irregularities seen from previous treatments. Most people enjoy their results for 3-4 months. However I have a few patients who enjoy their results for longer, sometimes up to 9 months. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
