I had gyno surgery a week ago and I can see that the the left nipple is a little sunken, should be worried and should I consider fat grafting or could it be better in time?
Answer: Too Early to Tell! At one week post surgery, there will be lots of swelling and bruising which can distort the appearance of the chest wall, including the nipple areolar complex. You should wait until six weeks or so before evaluating the outcome, although things will usually continue to settle down for six months. If the problem does persist, it can be managed with open procedures to redistribute the fat behind the areola, or fat transfer. In my experience, these issues mostly resolve with time, and it is very rare to have to undertake revision procedures.

Answer: Do I have a sunken nipple because of the surgery or will it be better over time? (Photos) It's too early to know at this point. There is still a lot of swelling in the tissues around the nipple this early which can alter the true appearance. If you are really concerned then book a follow up with your surgeon so they can reassure you. Best of luck!

Answer: Too early to guage Thank you for your question, Given the time period is just one week from the time you underwent the procedure,it is to way too early to review the end results of the procedure also because during the Gynecomastia procedureone's gland female breast gland in a male is removed and also any excess fat is removed with the help of liposuction, there are chances the nipple may appear sunken. My advise would be wait until completion of at least a minimum of 3 - 4 weeks to see the end results, meanwhile you could meet your Plastic Surgeon for a review to be rest assured about your current condition. In addition to that in case the issue persists evenafter 3 months from the date of the procedure, then you could consider one or two sessions of FAT Grafting. Regards,

Answer: Sunken nipple after gynecomastia surgery Thank you for your question and photos. Yours is a pretty common situation this early after surgery. If your surgeon has not discussed massage with you, bring it up at your next appointment. This is usually all that is needed to improve the situation. If it does, persist, as you suggested, fat grafting or filler can improve the appearance. Keep in close contact with your surgeon and make him or her aware of your concerns. Best wishes, Dr. Morrissey
