3 months after gynecomastia, one nipple looks slightly inverted and when bending forward both nipples sink. Thoughts? (photos)

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. After three months, it appears that you most likely have scar tissue causing both the inversion and sinking in of tissues.  I would immediately start massaging the area to help break up the scar tissue and would discuss with your surgeon who may be able to use cortisone injections to improve your results.  Hope this helps.

It's difficult to say without examining you in person, but I agree that it "could be scar tethering, or over resection, or both." Your surgeon will be able to give you more information. With gynecomastia surgery, it's important to leave a layer of tissue below the nipple to prevent indentation. Also, many surgeons will combine direct excision with liposuction. Many people with gynecomastia tend to have excess fat located at the lower aspect of their chest. The combination of liposuction and direct excision can give the best overall contour. Speak with your surgeon about your options moving forward.

Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) It is still early after your surgery. Swelling often takes 3-6 months to resolve (sometimes longer). Scars (inside and outside) develop and then soften with time. The indentation may improve with time. Be patient, and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Good evening a thank you for your question, this is not an uncommon occurrence after gynecomastia corrective surgery, all you need to do is meet an experienced plastic surgeon and consider the use of a bit of a fat injection to correct the problem and that should sort out your problem.
