Facial asymmetry is considered normal and expected, especially of the eyes. Minor asymmetry is usually left alone, while more significant asymmetry is more likely to be addressed. Asymmetric eyelid surgery can also be performed to help improve asymmetry of the eyes. For example, more skin or fat can be modified on one side as compared to the other. Everyone has some degree of eyelid and facial asymmetry. There is no perfect and symmetrical set of eyelids.
