None of us can predict what decisions insurance companies will make regarding coverage for hip dent surgery or what documentation will sway their decision. The odds are low if you desire the surgery for cosmetic reasons. If improving the hip dent were medically necessary, it might be covered by medical insurance. Read your medical insurance certificate of coverage. Determine what medical information is required for them to issue a pre-authorization or predetermination of benefits for the hip dent surgery. Then seek consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate your medical condition, discuss the pros and cons of this surgery as it applies to you, and help you in completing the paperwork required by your medical insurance company.
Hi and welcome to our forum! Most private insurance carriers will deny claims for procedures that do not correct deformities unless they directly interfere with your activities of daily living, creating a functional defect. Although the deformity is of traumatic (surgical) origin, correction would be deemed "cosmetic".I should add that scar contraction and shrinkage about the site of the depression may limit the amount of correction achievable with lipoinjection.I have seen exceptions however. I recommend contacting your insurance carrier directly and asking an agent about coverage for traumatic deformities. Visit a board certified plastic surgeon for thorough examination and extensive photography to submit to your carrier for a preauthorization attempt. It may prove worthwhile.Best wishes...
Dear Reliable9998,It is hard to tell for sure without an examination. BBL is a cosmetic procedure which is not covered by insurance. However, if you have a dip at the incision site at your buttocks, then there is a chance that it will be approved. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello. Depending on what the irregularity is and what the underlying cause is, it may be possible under certain circumstances to have fat grafting covered (i.e. reconstruction after breast cancer). I would suggest seeing a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to see what your options are.
medical insurance does not and will not pay for cosmetic surgery. Unfortunately even restoring someone to a previous contour is not always considered medically indicated. There are of course exceptions like men and women who develop breast cancer. These defects are not only covered by medical insurance but are supported by federal legislation as having to be covered benefits. Defects from previous drama are often caused by contracted is going to shoe which often does not respond well to adding volume transfer. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
Thanks for the question. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and ...
