GYNECOMASTIA please help!! One side is bigger than the other, what can I do?

Thank you for including photos. It is unlikely that you will see further changes after 6 months. If the extra fullness on the right side bothers you, talk to your surgeon about possibly removing more fat from that side. Best wishes!

Thanks for your question.  I agree with my colleagues that it will not likely change a lot at 6 months. If there is a nodule of residual tissue, sometimes I consider a kenalog injection to further shrink the right side.  If that is unhelpful than I would consider a revision, but I usually wait until a year before that.  Kenalog injections can be helpful and you should discuss your options with your plastic surgeon.  Good luck!

Thank you for your question and pictures.I think it is unlikely to change after 6 months.  My thought, based on pictures, is you need a touch-up liposuction to the right side, assuming most of the glands were removed during the first procedure.  As you likely know, most gynecomastia involves breast tissue and fatty tissue and it is common to combine fat removal (liposuction) and gland removal (often a tiny incision 5-7 o'clock at the areola perimeter).Best is to visit your plastic surgeon who should be able to help.Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPere, aesthetic plastic surgeon

Based on your photos alone, you may be a candidate for a revision procedure to help improve your symmetry. Thanks for your question and photos.  It can certainly take up to a year or more for the final results of the liposuction component of gynecomastia surgery and there is often some difference between the Muscles on both sides.  Having said that, your pictures demonstrate quite an obvious difference. You should return to your plastic surgeon for reassessment to determine if this is swelling, fat, remaining breast tissue or muscle. It is possible that once everything is settled you will need a minor revision with further liposuction.
