So I’m currently 6 months post op and my left side is looking really good but my right side just looks fattt and doesn’t have the same shape as my left one. I am right handed so I figure my right pec is larger but I just feel like there is still plenty of fat that can removed. How likely is this to change over the next 6 months? Is there hope for my right pec to become more like my left? Please help any answers much appreciated!

Answer: Uneven chest 6 months post gynecomastia (male chest contouring, men's boobs) surgery: what are my options now? Thank you for your question and pictures.I think it is unlikely to change after 6 months. My thought, based on pictures, is you need a touch-up liposuction to the right side, assuming most of the glands were removed during the first procedure. As you likely know, most gynecomastia involves breast tissue and fatty tissue and it is common to combine fat removal (liposuction) and gland removal (often a tiny incision 5-7 o'clock at the areola perimeter).Best is to visit your plastic surgeon who should be able to help.Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPere, aesthetic plastic surgeon

Answer: Post-op gynecomastia Thank you for your question. Beyond 6 months it is fairly unlikely that you will see further improvement in your results. Based on your photos alone, you may be a candidate for a revision procedure to help improve your symmetry. If this is something you are interested in, I suggest you schedule a follow-up appointment with your surgeon to discuss your concerns. All the best.
