Gyno still present after surgery. Help please! (Photo)

Question

I visited a surgeon (board certified) said he was going to do Vaser and an excision because I had the glandular knots. He asked did I want it "flat or sculpted". I said sculpted. Come to find out he only did lipo. Mainly around my chest. Fast forward 5 weeks post surgery and gyno is still there and no excision was done. Last time I went in he said if I wanted more out he would. Why didnt he remove the gland in the first place?! Also, will he keep his word on going back?? It looks no different.

Getting great results from gynecomastia surgery is much harder than most patients and surgeons think. The most common dissappointments from inadequate correction fall into two categories. The first is when only the gland is removed which results in crater deformities or retraction wen it has been overly excised. the othe main dissappointment is when only liposuction is performed without removing the gland. Fortunately this is easier to correct since the revision simply has to finish what was not done in the first place. It is important to choose a surgeon who is very experienced in gynecomastia if you want to improve your chances of getting a great result.
