I am 31 and up until 3 years ago i was 135lbs 5'4" and had perfect 34D cup breasts. I had to go on medication and went up to 175lbs and my breasts are now a 36DD but have dropped (Grade 1 ptosis) I am currently working to lose weight. When i get back down to a weight im happy with (goal is 140-145) I want to know if i can get a lift without the bad ancor/vertical scarring?
Answer: It is inevitable to avoid the breast lift scar. There are many options to help reduce appearance of these scars by using lasers Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Breast measurements would determine incision pattern. Once you have achieved the weight that you wish, you would need to consult with a plastic surgeon who could determine the position of your nipple to your inframammary fold as well as how much of your breast tissue sits below your fold. In addition, the distance from your nipple to your fold would help determine what lift pattern would be most appropriate for you. If the distance from your nipple to your fold is too long and your breasts are protocol, some shortening of that distance must be done and hence a vertical scar would be necessary.

Answer: Scarring Since you are intending to lose weight it is best to complete that goal before considering the type of lift that is recommended. Weight loss effects people differently. Some women notice no change to their breasts while others have dramatic changes. The correct lit can be determined after you have lost the weight.

Answer: Get to ideal weight first It’s difficult to predict how a 40lb weight loss will affect your breast shape. It is common for the breasts to sag to some extent with dramatic weight loss, but there is no guarantee. It would be best to achieve your ideal stable weight first before considering what type of breast lift, if any, would be necessary. At that time, a side photo would be helpful.
