It is certainly possible to experience headaches as the result of your recent surgery. There are many trigger points in and around the neck that play a role in headache formation. In fact, I often target these trigger points in migraine treatments with Botox. If the trigger points have been irritated during surgery, you may experience temporary headaches. In general, headaches should be fairly limited and resolve quickly. Severe headaches and those that linger certainly warrant further evaluation.
