Bruising following breast augmentation is not unusual. This should fade with time, so if you notice that it is worsening or does not improve, notify your plastic surgeon for further workup. The implants will settle with time, and it is too soon to determine what the final cosmetic outcome will be at this point. As the swelling subsides over the next few weeks to months, you will have a better idea of your ultimate result. Good luck!
Hi yayboobs206, Thank you for your question and photos. It is not unusual to experience some bruising after breast augmentation surgery. Also, tightness may also be experienced as the tissues around the implants are still swollen following the surgery. However, if you experience significant change in the size of your breast and that the bruising persists, it is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for an in-person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Hi,Congratulations on your surgery! Thank you for your post. You are only 3 days post op, which is too soon in the healing process to know how things are going to look. After a breast augmentation implants can take up to 6 months to settle. Since it has only been 3 days you still have a lot of swelling that will go down. I would recommend calling your plastic surgeon with any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your question. You appear to have some bruising and swelling of your cleavage area. This is very common and normal. The bruising and swelling will subside with time. Best of luck with your recovery.
I appreciate your concerns but way too early to worry. Your body needs time to heal and adapt to the implants. The skin and muscle over the implants must stretch a bit to allow the implants to settle into their final position. While your appearance will improve fairly quickly, don't expect to see your final result for at least 6 months after surgery. Good Luck!
Thank you for your question. Yes, bruising and stretching between the breasts after a breast augmentation is normal. I would recommend following up with your plastic surgeon if you have any further concerns. Best of luck!
Thank you for the question. Your breasts seem to be healing as expected for 3 days following surgery.Bruising can be very little or can be quite extensive. it varies from patient to patient and from breast to breast. There may have been more dissection in the middle part of the breast in both sides to create the pocket which has resulted in the bruising shown.Arnica cream (not tablets) will help to reduce the bruising.I hope that helpsBW
Thank you for your question. Bruising 3 days after a breast augmentation is normal. If your concerns get worst I recommend you contact your surgeon and they will confirm if it is something to worry about.
Bruising looks to be within normal limits and should resolve over the next several days. Hope this helps! Sam Jejurikar, MD
Thank you for your question. Sorry that you are concerned about the bruising, but don't worry - this is all normal. The results from a breast augment will take time and you will be quite swollen and bruised initially. This will resolve over the next few weeks and begin to change colour. It will start to soften and become yellow and eventually fade. You can use arnica cream on the bruising as this well help to breakdown the bruised appearance. I would avoid any herbal tablets or arnica TABLETS during the surgical period as this can increase the bruising.I hope this is helpful for youBW
I'm sorry that this happened to you. It's unlikely that any permanent damage was caused. If your currently prescribed medications aren't enough to manage your pain you need to contact your surgeon. Rest the area until you are able to speak with your surgeon.
Renee. You should be able to undergo chemical peel within the next day or two and it should not affect your breast augmentation results. However I would first check with your plastic surgeon for doing any form of treatments. Good luck.
Selected patients may opt for local anesthesia with sedative rather than general anesthetic. However, only your surgeon will be able to decide if you can have the local anesthesia. Discuss with him/her your concern and his/her rationale for opting to use subdural anesthesia, which is not a...
