Dr. William Umansky is proud of his reputation as one of San Diego’s best plastic surgeons – the result of numerous personal referrals from highly satisfied patients. He was selected by his physician peers as one of San Diego’s Physicians of Exceptional Excell
I could not be happier that I chose Dr William Umansky as my surgeon. I had 30 yr old saline implants and noticed some volume depletion in one breast ( slow leak ) so they needed to be replaced. Dr William Umansky's reputation preceded him and he was on my list. The office staff was stellar from the first phone call to my follow up appointments. Dr was compassionate, kind, patient and thorough during the consult and explained my options so I understood what he was going to achieve. He listened to me and we developed a plan for just the replacement. He could have pushed to do a breast lift too, but at my age, it would not have looked as natural and he was able to 'reset' them so they are a bit perkier than before. I am very happy with my results and have soft natural looking breasts. He improved the placement of the implants and positioned them so they sit closer together so I have better cleavage. They look better than they did when I first had them done. I wish I had seen him years ago. I would give him 6 Stars if I could. Very very happy, thank you Dr Umansky and his wonderful team.
I had been considering a breast lift for years and did extensive research on surgeons before making my decision. Working in the industry, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many plastic surgeons in San Diego, but Dr. Umansky truly stands out from the rest. His kind energy, welcoming demeanor, and genuine care immediately really put me at ease when I first met him, which was so important to me since I was very nervous about the surgery. Safety was my top priority, and I felt completely confident in his hands. I had always been self-conscious about my breasts and was prepared for the results to be just okay, because I didn't think the look I wanted was possible without an implant (I didn't want to get implants due to health concerns and risk the implants carry) However, I am absolutely shocked and in love with the outcome—Dr. Umansky really gave me the perfect breasts! He is so talented, skilled and incredibly professional and compassionate. I couldn’t recommend him more highly to anyone considering this procedure!!
This website has been so incredibly helpful for me getting to see so many women’s before and after journeys I just had to pay-it -forward and post my results for any other Girlies out there thinking of getting a breast augmentation done! I know women say all the time that they have “no Boobs” but let me tell you, I actually had NO BOOBS! Haha I wore a size S in Bralettes and 34B in bras but they usually gaped on me and cleavage was never really an option. I am 5’6” 32 years old with no kids, oI weigh anywhere from 135 to 140 pounds and I chose to go with the round smooth 295cc Natrelle implants placed under the muscle with periareola incisions. When I was doing research on doctors in my area (San Diego) I was trying to get referrals from friends who had already had the procedure done and believe it or not three separate friends who live in separate areas all recommended me to Dr. William Umansky; seriously What are the odds!? Felt like fate so I immediately called and made my appointment to see him and only him and I’m so happy I did! Getting on his waitlist took a few months, but the staff was constantly checking in and trying to move my appointment to a sooner available date unfortunately my work schedule was just not flexible so I had to wait it out but definitely worth the wait! Everyone from the office staff to the nurses were beyond warm and welcoming and not for a second did I feel anxious or worried, I felt like I was in great hands the whole time. I’ve only been out surgery for a few hours and the pain meds are helping significantly. When I first woke up from the anesthesia my chest was definitely feeling tight, uncomfortable, and achy. The car ride home was nauseating for sure and the stop and go traffic at 5 o’clock was definitely not helping but I popped a nausea pill while I was in the car and once I got home, I no longer felt like I was gonna blow chunks all over the front seat. if I could do that part again I would definitely have taken the medication at the doctors office, if they offer it trust me take it! Took my pain meds and I was able to find comfort and get in a little nap in(laying at a 45* angle wasn’t the best but manageable). Not sure what my first night of sleeping sitting up has to offer but hopefully it goes smoothly. I’ll post more photos tomorrow once I get all my gauze and bandages off. Updated on 18 Apr 2024: Finally got to see these beauties up close and so far I love them! Obviously, I still have a long way to go but I feel like once they drop they are going to fit my body type and look so proportionate. I definitely think it’s gonna give me that natural aesthetic I was hoping for. I Tried doing my breast massages this afternoon and holy shit that was so painful! I Couldn’t even do the whole 15 minutes before getting lightheaded and nauseous from the pain. Think I’m gonna have to cut the 2 15min breast massaging up into like 6 sessions cus that was brutal. Updated on 18 Apr 2024: I forgot to post my pre-surgery photos so here you go! As you can see I started out pretty teeny tiny my boobs really never fit my body structure. My new boobs make me feel so much more confident already I’m seriously over the moon with my decision and size choice! Updated on 18 Apr 2024: I forgot to post my pre-surgery photos so here you go! As you can see I started out pretty teeny tiny my boobs really never fit my body structure. My new boobs make me feel so much more confident already I’m seriously over the moon with my decision and size choice! Updated on 19 Apr 2024: I’m only 3 days post-op and the girls already look great! Still very swollen around my ribs and chest but they look somewhat normal and already cute in a bikini top! I’m definitely keeping up on my pain meds but I can already tell my mobility is getting better each day. Updated on 6 May 2024: Almost 1 month post surgery now and I’m feeling so good! Swelling is completely gone and my boobies have started to soften a little bit. I know I still have a ways to go till they’re settled but I’m so happy with my results and honestly this might be the first time in my entire life that Iv actually loved my body. This procedure has boosted my self esteem exponentially! Updated on 30 Jun 2024: I’m now 2.5 months out from sugary day and my boobs are feeling great. Swelling is completely gone in my breast along with any muscle pains. They have softened a bit more and are now a little jiggly and less bolt-on looking, and my incisions look absolutely amazing. From the side profile, they are still sitting a little high and my nipples are still slightly pointing downward; i’d love it if my nipples were pointing up and it had more of a slope look and a little more perky would be great hopefully with time they’ll get there. I hate to admit this but I have definitely fallen off with wearing my chest strap which I’m supposed to wear daily for an hour. As for my scars, you cannot even see them unless you really know what you’re looking for. If your doctor can do incisions on the areola 1000% do it!! Again, I love my breast and they’re exactly what I wanted and had asked for; but I will say I am having a teeny tiny bit of regret that I didn’t go bigger (I know I know, Everyone always says “you’re going Wish you’d gone bigger” whatever). With clothes on they look the perfect size for my body, They fit into everything. You would never know that I had my boobs done except now I can actually show off some cleavage which is great! Prior to having implants, I did not have sensitive boobs whatsoever but now they are seriously the most sensitive thing ever! Not sensitive from the surgery but like my nipples are so tender, like The way your nipples feel when you’re on your period but now they feel like this all the time. If something even brushes my nipple it’s almost painful because of how sensitive it is. Not gonna lie, kind of hope that goes away cuz I’m not loving it. I wonder if anyone else’s nipples sensitivity change significantly after breast implants cuz I’d love to know? Updated on 26 Jan 2025: It's been about nine months post-op now and my breast are feeling great, they've really softened up ( yes they do feel somewhat firm because I had such little breast issue to start with you can indeed feel the jiggly implant inside but that was to be expected)and my nipple sensitivity is almost fully back to normal THANK GOD. I truly love my new boobs they're significantly better than what I had previously. However they're still not perfect, but I feel like expecting perfection is a little bit unrealistic and probably not good for anyone's mental health; I definitely don't wanna become one of those people that just keeps cutting themselves up in hopes of becoming perfect, so imperfections are totally normal and expected here, just happy to finally have cute boobies now! With that being said I do feel like my breast still sit a little high with not much under boob which I would've liked to see a little more of. I don't go in to talk to my doctor for a couple more weeks but all of my friends with breast implants I. Spoken too I've made comments saying that it could just be that the implant size I got was just a little too small so it doesn't give me that more Teardrop under-boob look I was hoping for. I get compliments all the time on them because they look so natural and fit to my body type nicely. Pre-surgery my left boob was slightly larger than my right and now with the implants in I do notice a difference in size but it's very slight. My scars along my aerials are so faint you can almost not eleven see them which is amazing I highly recommend if you're on the fence between areola incision and under boobs incision areola is 1000% the way to go! All in all they're not perfect but I'm still super happy with them and love them all the same.
Life changing doesn’t even begin to describe what this reduction has done for me. I am 1 week +2 days post op. Am I sore? Yes. Am I happy? OMG YES. Any regrets? Yes-not doing it sooner. I was referred by a friend and it was destiny. I’ve been trying to do this for years and then my friend messaged that she was going forward. I went ahead with consultation. From the get go- I had many text, email and phone conversations with Diana. She got all the necessary information and was the liaison between myself and the doctor. With my weight there were some concerns but after seeing the pictures I sent of my breasts, he was onboard seeing what I was dealing with. Everything was seamless. Meeting him solidified my decision to move forward. I only met a couple of times. Everything else we did over the phone. It was great!!! My first post op visit- I almost cried when I saw my breasts. They’re so beautiful!!! Dr Umansky is an artist!! I just stare at them all day long!! Well, not all day but every opportunity I can! LOL He forewarned me the lipo they do on the sides is more painful and he was right. It’s uncomfortable but considering the amount of tissue they removed and knowing it’s temporary , it’s manageable. I was in pain meds for the first 2 days then tapered off on the 3rd day. Tylenol managed any other discomfort. I am 60 yrs old and it’s given me a whole new lease on life. I love myself so much more and am so happy. Unfortunately I HAD to go shopping because my tops literally hang on me. Darn it! LOL So thank you Dr Umansky- you’ve given me such a gift!!
I've had 2 surgeries with Dr. W Umansky, and I don't think I could be happier with my results. All you need to do is look at his photos of his lift + implant patients and compare them to the "after" photos of the same procedure done by other providers to see what a talented surgeon he is. Breast lifts unfortunately create an unattractive vertical scar from nipple to breast crease, but Dr. Umansky is so experienced and has such a skilled approach in his suturing that the vertical scar ends up being very minimal and barely noticeable. I also love that the breasts he creates are much more natural looking than what I saw when researching doctors. If you're in Southern California, I don't know why you'd go anywhere else for this procedure, honestly. My first surgery was about 16 months ago. I had the mastopexy plus implants. I chose rather small saline implants because I didn't want to look too large (I'm very petite, 5'1" 108lbs). My results were beautiful, but as time went on, one breast started to droop a bit. I think I have thin skin that easily stretches. Dr. Umansky offered to do another surgery to nip a bit more skin from that breast to lift it up more. Since I was going under the knife again, I chose to switch out my implants to a slightly larger size (from 225cc to 300cc). I am now 3 weeks post surgery, and again, my results are great. I truly love my breasts. They make me so happy. They fit my body, and they match me. I'm 45, but I'm very trim and in great shape for my age. Before my first surgery, my breasts looked like deflated bags. It was depressing. I felt like I was in the best shape of my life in all other aspects except my breasts. Now I feel like my breasts match the rest of me. I fully trust Dr. Umansky and his entire team. Working with him has only been a positive experience for me. I'm typically very picky, and not often satisfied, so it's remarkable how genuinely pleased and happy I am.
I had a facelift 2 years ago with Dr Umansky. I had a seamless experience from beginning to end. The staff is welcoming, caring and professional. Dr Umansky is an artist and takes his time to make you feel comfortable, heard and educated on the best options to meet your goals. The OR staff and anesthesiologist put me at ease and took excellent care of me during my procedure and recovery. My results are natural and I look and feel fantastic. I am a forever patient. I highly recommend Dr Umansky and his team.
Phenomenal experience and amazing results. The staff is fantastic. I am so pleased with the education that was provided in helping me to make my decision to choose CoolSculpting at Umansky. The doctor gives you his undivided attention, puts you at ease, easy to talk to and highly professional and approachable. This was such a great experience. They've earned a forever patient. I've had two breast augmentation surgeries with William Umansky. The first time around I was really indecisive with regard to type and size. He was very patient and provided helpful input without being pushy. The surgery itself went smoothly. Dr. Umansky has a very calm and relaxing demeanor that helps put you at ease. Recovery was as expected and there were many follow up visits to make sure everything was going well. After having my first set for a year, I decided I wanted a larger implant and different type. It was a very easy exchange and much less costly. One of the reasons I chose Dr. Umansky as my surgeon is because he really cares about his patients and wants you to be happy with your results. I love my boobs and am so happy with my experience with Dr. Umansky and his staff. I highly recommend him!
Dr. William was and has been such a positive influence in my life. His work, his staff. I feel welcomed and understood. Changing your profile is a huge step and I sought everywhere and he has been so kind and understanding with my concerns. So has his staff. Dr. William is such a kind welcoming man and so is his staff. I am grateful to be under their care.
Ok where do I begin. I had a consult in 2016 with Dr.Bill for a breast augmentation revision. One side was capsized and the other was bottomed out. Three years later when I was ready they honored the price from 2016. I was on deployment when I wanted to begin my process and everything was handled in an expeditious matter. Wow Heidi you are impressive! And thank you Dr.Bill for making me look normal again. I am more than satisfied. Dr.Bill made me feel extremely comfortable at my second consult period and before surgery I wasn’t even nervous. Just wow.
