What is the difference between a brow plexy and a brow lift?

A browpexy is done through an upper lid incision and attached the brow to the underlying tissues in the forehead. And endoscopic brow lift is done through 4 small incision behind the hairline, and lifts the brow and forehead together.I do not perform browpexy except in very specific circumstances when the patient can not have an endoscopic brow lift. In my opinion, the brow lift gives a more natural result and is much longer lasting. 

A broo is for brows that are too low and give a sad tired appearance. A brow pexy ,a procedure which is rarely performed in my practice, is to suture the brow without removing any skin to a higher position. 

Hello, thank you for your question.  A brow plexy is when the brow is tacked in a higher position using sutures or other materials.  This is a less invasive procedure then the brow lift.  A brow lift is when the brows are actually detached from the deeper tissues, repositioned upward, and tissue is removed.  In my experience, the brow plexy is more likely to fail (in some cases, within 3 months),  where a brow lift is likely to be more long lived.  Temporarily the brow plexy could give you the same results as a brow lift, although usually this is not the case.  In my opinion, it is best to do the brow lift.  

A browpexy is an internal suspension of the eyebrow done from an upper eyelid incision. This is a minimally invasive procedure usually done with upper eyelid blepharoplasty to help stabilize or slightly lift the brow. A endoscopic brow lift is performed through hidden incisions in the hairline and is effective to lift and reshape the entire forehead and eyebrows. An endoscopic brow lift is the gold standard in rejuvenation of the upper face and allows great flexibility in determining the height, shape and contour of the eyebrows and forehead. A browpexy is limited to a minor lift of the lateral brow only.

 A brow pexy is only using suture techniques to lift a small area of the eyebrow and does not involve any skin removal.  A brow lift procedure is also known as a forehead lift which involves an incision across the top of the forehead.  A full set of pictures are required to make a determination about being a candidate for the procedure.  In addition to lifting the eyebrows, asymmetry of the eyebrows can also be adjusted, the hairline can be brought upwards and downwards, and the vertical and horizontal creases in the forehead can also be softened as well.
