I had an explant 11yrs ago by Dr. Hand. Original BA frm another PS due to implant age, bottoming out & CC. Without a lift my breast looked like pancakes. Lol. I decided to undergo BA 1/17/20 with Dr. Hand. Went above the muscle and since I have very little breast tissue I developed CC within a few months. So, Dr. Hand & I revisited our options. I needed a breast lift ,open capsulectomy, same implants submuscular, mentor 325cc round smooth. Did research and bought a perfect Post-op bra with snap front, built in implant velcro band stabilizers & compression. Highly recommended as it's comfortable & confident it will allow for implants to settle properly and reduce swelling. Especially, when you're stuck sleeping up right. Submuscular was less uncomfortable than above muscle. Surprised. So surgery was 1/21/21 and Dr. Hand did a beautiful revision. Especially, since the CC was becoming more uncomfortable. Just had my 13 day post op. Stitches removed and new tape. 4 more weeks of post-op bra and I'll start some light massage now since I had a breast lift with additional scars. Their soft and completely different than last time at this point. Looking forward to the drop and fluff which is taking place and reduced swelling. Doctor Hand is a skilled, educated, thoughtful, and experience PS. Great follow up. I love Lisa and Emily as they always make you feel welcomed and comfortable. We have a tendency to girl talk and stall Dr. Hand. Lol. Anyway, keep you posted on progress. I'm also taking Fish oil Omega-3 for scarring & normal CC. Plus I also have another Post-op compression bra with hooks that I'll wear for any out door activity or work. Just to be on the safe side. Updated on 11 Feb 2021: 3 weeks soft & doing great. Taking Omega 3 300mg and Serrapeptase 120,000. Light massage because I had BL, bad CC. I'm also doing sonic sound treatment aka as the Aspen therapy. Plus I'm wearing my post-op pressure bra with upper implant stabilizer for 6 wks. Still have surgical tape on which I'll take off in about 4 days per PS. Totally happy!! Updated on 16 Feb 2021: PS said I could soak in bath and gently pull off the second set of tape. Now I'm going to used embrace active scar defense silicone strips. I bought the set for BL & BA. Plus I'll be wearing my post op bra. Daily massage and ultrasound treatment 3 times per week. Updated on 16 Feb 2021: 26 DAYS POST OP. I soaked and removed the tape. Going to use embrace scar defense silicone strips. 60 days treatment. Continue to wear my tension bra with front hooks and built-in implant stablizers. Great post op bra. Highly recommend as it really advanced the healing process Updated on 19 Feb 2021: 29 days. So I put 2 strips one underneath each breast horizontally first. The other strips both going vertical over the nipple. Wear for 10 days. Shower or soak. Gently remove. Wait 24hrs then reapply. Updated on 22 Feb 2021: This is the perfect bra after my BL, BA, and CC. Especially, the built-in implant stablizer with Velcro closure. Prevented my implants from riding up, the wide band, hook front, & adjustable straps. Comfy to sleep in. My PS approved and the nxt day I was instructed to wear for the next 60 days. It reduced swelling and any hematoma. Really great recovery. Updated on 7 Apr 2021: 49 days.. still soft, settling no CC. BL & BA. Under muscle this time which was less painful. Year prior I had over the muscle & with little breast tissue I developed CC right away. I waited a yr and I believe developed stage 4. Hard as rocks. Now their soft and my upper muscle or pole still are relaxing. Hopefully, more of a slope. However, I'm happy, feel & look normal
I love Dr. Hand & his staff. The office is private & small compared to some PS that just drive in advertising & crowded waiting rms. Great results on my mini facelift and eyelift 10/2018. Very natural. Dr. Hand diagnosed & treated my painful roscea with light pulsation. It worked. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Hand and the care and concern he shows. Sorta feels like I'm visiting a group of friends on my visits. And Dr. Hand is still monitoring my facelift. I also had explants done in 2009 so I did a lot of research to find the right PS.
Had a great experience with Dr. Hand —received Botox, laser and vein treatments and was very happy with the outcomes. The office offers a lot of privacy, and the pricing is very competitive. Like receiving these treatments from a plastic surgeon versus other types of providers.
I am one week pre op of getting my BA. I am super excited and super nervous. I will be getting silicone overs in the range of 375-450 cc's, going from a deflated C to a D. My PS recommend that I get overs since I dont really want to get a lift and have the lollipop scarring. I still can't believe that I am doing it. I have three boys, 15, 6 & 5 so I need to repair the damage that has been done from nursing. Also, I have recently went from 170 pounds to 155 pounds and I am still trying to bring sexy back. Anyone else getting their BA next week? Any advice on how to be prepared? I will post after pics next week :) Updated on 26 Apr 2015: I am so bummed! I think I worked my nerves up too much about my upcoming BA scheduled on 4/29/15. I was diagnosed with Bells Palsy five years ago (which went away) and I started feeling a little stressed out being that this is an elective procedure and am I making the right choice, I hope my husband can handle the load for a few days, will work be lost without me me for a week???? Well I worked my self up and started get twitches in the bridge of my nose and my eye would not stop watering. All being said, yesterday my doctor put me on steroids for six days :-/ and obviously one cannot have surgery on steroids. Now I have to reschedule my procedure tomorrow, just two days before. Let's see how well that goes. I just need to stop being a nervous nelly and take me time. Thanks for letting me vent lol Updated on 29 May 2015: Yesterday my BA went well. Got up early, got kids situated and off to school. I was on the road to Greenbrae about an hour away from home. Checked in at 8:15 and was called back at 8:30, right on time. I woke up and just felt super nauseous. I ended up getting 400cc in my left breast and 475cc in my right since that was my smaller breast. The ride home was a bit brutal due to the nausea, but I made It. I didn't feel pain, just sore. Woke up this morning still feeling dizzy but not so much nausea. I do however am very constipated. I heard that canned peaches should do the trick. I go back this afternoon for my post op vist and a sneak peak. I will post more picks later. So far, so good.
Hello, if the fat does not hold, yes it will still survive if it goes back to the original location. The issue with that, is the cosmetic result may not be as desired if the results change position.
Hello and thank you for your question. I have reviewed your photos. My personal opinion is that you are not a candidate for a facelift. You have a beautiful young-looking face. I would not suggest a facelift at this point in your life. I wish you the best of luck!
Hello, and thank you for your question. Depending on the amount of excess fat and skin, you would likely need to do an arm lift with possible liposuction. If you have a large amount of excess skin, liposuction alone could make the situation worse. I suggest you schedule a in person meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon to help discuss your concerns and needs. Good luck!
Hello, each person varies depending on how fast they heal. It is best to wait at least 3 weeks after a blue peel before using red light therapy. I suggest speaking with the doctor/person that is doing your light therapy to make sure your skin is healed enough before proceeding with the light therapy.
Hello and thank you for your question. In my opinion you would greatly benefit from a Quadrilateral Blepharoplasty (Upper and Lower Eyelids). If you decide to not do the upper eyelids, a lower lid blepharoplasty will help to remove those bags and give you a less "tired" appearance. I suggest meeting with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options in person. Good luck!
