Can any surgeon do an endoscopic brow lift + canthopexy?

I have found a really good surgeon for a rhinoplasty but I would also like an endoscopic brow lift + canthopexy to lift my droopy eyes. Is this a straightforward procedure that can be done by any surgeon?

Great question!  The most important question is the experience of the surgeon.  However, surgeons who are board certified in plastic surgery or facial plastic surgery are trained to perform these procedures.  Best of luck and hope this information helps!

Like rhinoplasty and other procedures, some surgeons have mastered and specialize in these procedures. Endoscopic brow lifts and procedures to repair lower eyelid drooping are specialized procedures.  Ask your surgeon about his/her experience with these procedures.

It depends on the surgeon's expertise and skills. The other important question is to determine if canthopexy is the correct procedure. Usually canthopexy alone doesn't lift droopy lower eyelids, if that is what you are trying to do. A rhinoplasty, endoscopic brow lift and canthopexy could be performed at the same time by the same surgeon.  Many facial plastic surgeons and plastic surgeons would be able to perform all of those procedures.

A full set of facial photographs are going to be required to make a determination about three procedures, a rhinoplasty, a brow lift, and canthopexy. In our practice, we perform closed rhinoplasty not open, to avoid the incision across the columella. Regarding a brow lift,  we perform the coronal approach which can control the hairline by raising it upwards or downwards, soften the frontalis in corrugator muscles and lines of expression In the forehead, and adjust asymmetry of the eyebrows in addition to raising eyebrows when necessary. A canthopexy is usually performed by an ocular plastic surgeon.

These are not too complicated as far as technical issues, but you will need to ask your surgeon directly if he performs and has expertise in these additional procedures, as some rhinoplasty specialists limit their practice.
