I appreciate your concerns, however as long as you are healthy and obtain clearance from your medical doctor, your condition should not be a contraindication to mommy makeover surgery. However if you desire tummy tuck with BBL, I recommend you stage these procedures. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in our area to explore the best and safest options for you. Good luck.
Dear Thinking20,you will need to get a clearance prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Transmission of the hepatitis B virus can happen if you come into contact with an infected person’s bodily fluids or blood so you will need clearance from the medical specialist who is treating your Hep B. You will also need to tell the board certified PS during your consultation so that he/she can take precaution to decrease the risk of intraoperative transmission: use of double latex gloves, changed hourly, enclosed hood and face-masks, knee-length impermeable gowns, a combination of shoe-covers with coverage to the knee and disposable drapes. Inadvertent pricks or cuts should be bled and washed immediately with iodine, soap and water. Would recommend that you have the lipo and BBL first; six months of so later, have the TT.
Thank you for your question.I would check with your physician that monitors the Hep B and get clearance from them. Then you also need to let your surgeon know of your status and give them the clearance from your monitoring doctor.
Thank you for sharing your question. Assuming your hep B is well-managed and no issues related to your liver exist, you should be able to safely have a BBL and tummy tuck. It will be important that your plastic surgeon speaks with your medical doctor to ensure your candidacy. Best wishes.
The best place to begin is a visit to your primary care doctor, or specialist who treats your Hep B. Discuss your desire for a tummy tuck and BBL. If given clearance you should be fine to proceed in scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.
Thanks for the question. You should be able to proceed with your BBL and abdominoplasty procedures provided you have clearance fro your private physician. You must inform your surgeon so they take adequate precautions.Dr T
I would encourage you to speak with your help to your heptologist who knows the details of your condition. Your tolerance for anesthesia and pain medication must be known in advance. I would also suggest limiting the surgical session. Best wishes.
Post op appointments are sometimes equally as important as the quality of the surgery. Patients sometimes misunderstand post operative instructions and unfortunately do exactly the wrong thing. These can be corrected easily by a surgeon who sees his or her patients often during the first c...
Hello, in situations where there’s more loose skin in the upper part of the abdomen, one can perform either a mini tummy tuck or even a reverse tummy tuck. I recommend a virtual consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon near you. Thank you. Mark G. Albert, M. D. New York, NY
Dear Exquisite200217 Thanks for your question and sharing your photographs. Looking at your photos and considering your history of weight loss and childbirth, I believe you are a great candidate for a Fleur-de-Lys abdominoplasty. The reason for that is you seem to have excess skin both in...
