Thank you for your question about eyelid surgery.Your sinuses and deviated nasal septum should be your top priority. You may not even need eyelid surgery after this is taken care of.To be sure, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons, occuloplastic surgeons or facial ENT surgeons in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have surgery.I hope this helps.
Of course there are exceptions to every rule. If you have allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis from the same allergy, your sinus symptoms and eye symptoms will often go together but one does not cause the other. Generally the septal surgery is often performed by a non cosmetic ENT. Don't assume that a single surgeon will be great at both function sinus surgery and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Conservatively, consider getting your sinuses opened before embarking on eyelid work. Breathing better may give you an entirely different perspective.
There is no reason to perform these 3 procedures separately, when they should be performed all the same time with one recovery period and one anesthetic. The puffiness of the lower lids can be caused allergies, so that should be under control before making a decision about the lower lids. Endoscopic Sinus surgery is performed to remove polyps and infection from inside the sinuses. A septoplasty is performed to improve a blockage of airflow through the nose also known as a deviated nasal septum. Cosmetic eyelid surgery can also be performed at the same time. Thanks for your question.Yes, you should get your septum and sinuses fixed first.Ongoing inflammation due to allergy or othercauses may take time to resolve.I advise having the eyelid surgery at a later date, as some of the changes that you see in your eyelid may resolve after the Sinus Surgery. Operating on eyelids that are swollen, puffy and inflammed may lead to a less than ideal result. You should consult an ENT specialist, who can advise you regarding treatment of the sinus and the duration of the treatment, that will help you plan eyelid surgery
It is difficult to give specific advice without a photo or a consultation but in general the only way to truly address these is with a blepharoplasty, which can remove the excess fat that is responsible for eyelid bags. A filler such as Juvederm or Restylane could be used to camouflage them by...
A complete exam and review of your medical history is important in addition to your photos to answer your question. For example lower lid fullness can be caused by uncontrolled allergies (edema fluid) or hereditary (fat).A blepharoplasty is a procedure designed to improve the appearance of the...
Based on the close up photo, it looks like you have a droopy upper eyelid ( ptosis). You should see an Eyelid Specialist who can evaluate your eyelids in person and recommend the options.Surgery to correct the eyelid ptosis is very effective. Needling and fillers do not address Eyelid Ptosis...
