Will a hair transplant be affected by an oily scalp?

Oily scalp will not affect the hair transplant.  Your follicles will not slip out due to oily skin as you may imagine.  

Moe, more serious scalp conditions such as frequent infections would certainly be a concern.  Oily scalp will not affect the "grip" on the hairs.  People with oily hair will often look their best after a shower/shampoo, including after transplant.  Good luck!

Oily scalp enhances hair loss as hair is more thin and more prominent to fall faster. Daily hair wash with special shampoos for hair loss or baby shampoos are prescribed. The transplanted hair is not affected from oily scalp as it does not fall. The issue is with the existing ones that need to be protected.

No, as the healing process is complete, the hair shaft will,fall,off and the follicles remain under the skin. Once they grow in after a few months they can be effect by the condition of the scalp but as long as they are still under the skin they will not be effected.
