I do not routinely sue drains when I perform a BBL. Some surgeons use them to drain fluid from the liposuction portion of the procedure.
I do not use drains when performing a bbl. consult with board-certified plastic surgeons that routinely perform this procedure and you will hear preferences for and against using them.
Whilesome surgeons use drains, most do not. I don't use them. I findhm being unnecessary and they are messy. But ultimately you should choose a PS with extensive experience performing the BBL and you should adhere to his(her) practices. Good luck!
