If you have a butt lift procedure performed, where is the incision generally made?

 In general there are two different ways to do a buttock  lift. One, is to place the incision above the buttock just under the beltline. The other is more of a buttock tuck where the incision is placed at the junction of the lower crease of the buttock cheek at its junction with the back of the thigh. I prefer to avoid the first option with incision above because it tends to elongate and flatten the buttock.  Instead I prefer to restore volume to reinflate and perk-up the buttock with an implant, then if the skin remains below do a lower buttock tuck.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. The incision site varies based on the plastic surgeon performing the procedure. In our practice you have a small incision at the top of the buttocks, and one small one under each buttocks. Good Luck. 

Incision location will depend on the procedure that you choose with the help of your Board-certified plastic surgeon. A Brazilian Butt Lift, performed by transferring fat, would involve using multiple small, scattered incisions around the circumference of  the butt. Another option would be gluteal implants, where the incision is generally created on the upper portion of the gluteal cleft and would be well-hidden.
