I'm a little over 3 months post op and my nice scar has turned hideous. I've been trying everything for it to be less red but nothing is working! What is going on? I've always scarred so nice I'm a non smoker and light skin which they say is the main causes for keloids I don't understand?!?!

Answer: Scars after a tummy tuck may look very attractive for Months
Hi Bibianna92,Thank you for your pictures and questions. Based on the pictures you have submitted it looks as if you would be a good candidate for a full tummy tuck. I suggest you visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss your options and goals. Best of luck!
Dr. Zubowicz is correct. Tummy Tuck scars are always red for a variable length of time after surgery. Just be very careful to avoid any sun exposure to the scar (cover up and sun block) while the scar remains red or else it may remain permanently dark. Good luck.
It’s
great that you are working towards a goal weight before surgery. It is best to check with your surgeon for
their recommendation; however, working out the day before your surgery
shouldn’t be a problem. Best of luck in
December with your tummy tuck.
