40 days post op Liposuction. One of my incision open after healing. How long do I have to cover it and put bacitracin?(photo)

Something is amiss if you have an open wound 40 days after liposuction. My guess is that the liposuction was assisted by a laser or ultrasound which is created a significant thermal injury to the skin. You should consult a board-certified plastic surgeon for proper care.

It looks like your wound is healing from the photo but an in-office appointment would be best with your surgeon or someone else to make sure.

Only Plastic Surgeons are qualified for ALL issues with liposuction. Best to seek IN PERSON appointment with a boarded PS in your city. Be sure you understand there will be a fee involved of at least $250... Lesson learned I hope! 

40 days post op from liposuction is a little unusual for this problem, you mentioned you took a 10 day regimen of oral antibiotics, did your physician culture the drainage from this wound, or just give an antibiotic trial? I would recommend that you return to the physician who did your surgery for follow-up.
