I had an explant of my Allergan textured implants 5 weeks ago. I have been doing daily massage. It seems I have a point of adhesion on both breasts right under my areola. When I push up on my breasts from the bottom this area sticks down, I have included pictures to show the dents caused by the area that is sticking or adhering down. Can this be corrected and what is the recommendation for the correction?

Answer: How can I have the dents and adhesions from my breast explant corrected? (photos) This should improve with time and massage. Based on your picture this can probably be fixed with fat transfer to the breast. It is not unreasonable to observe a waiting period of six months after explantation before the determination for breast lift or breast fat transfer is made. This will give your breasts time to bounce back and your PS time to determine what type of lift, if any, is needed. An in-person consultation with a board certified PS would be best to determine the optimal time for the fat transfer.

Answer: Explant alone often need lift revision In your frontal view, your breasts are hanging low on the chest wall. I recommend a lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
