I had breast augmentation over a year ago and they have settled very far apart- I can place my palm in between them and they stick out to the side. I'd like to know if it's possible to get this fixed - either surgically or with certain exercises- and if there was anything I could have done to prevent it? Thank you!

Answer: Explant and lift for widely separated implants The best technique would be explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: How chest wall anatomy determines breast implant position Your photos show what is called a pectus excavatum, which is a normal variation that is defined by a dip in the sternum (breastbone) between the breasts. The attachment of the muscle is farther apart than average, so the implants have to be farther apart. Fat grafting might be your best option.
