Dear Enthusiastic3892 thank you for your question!Combining breast and body contour procedures is sometimes referred to as a mommy makeover. It is possible to do both procedures in a single stage safely as long as they are performed by experienced surgeons in approved facilities. Combining procedures has the advantage of reducing the number of anesthetic periods, as well as limiting expenses associated to separate surgical episodes.
Hi, thank you for sharing your question. These three procedures can be performed safely. Your surgeon will assess your risk for blood clots and guide you as to how to mitigate those risks.
These procedures are frequently done together and are commonly referred to as a "mommy makeover."The length of time under anesthesia may slightly increase your risks for blood clots in your legs. Seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. He or she can do a risk assessment to help determine the safety of combining the procedures.
It is possible to combine these procedures however it depends on your surgeon’s opinion, based on your health, their experience and what your surgery involves. An assessment would need to be performed by your surgeon in order to determine whether combining these would be safe for you.
I have frequently done a tummy tuck and breast lift at the same time. It takes approximately 6 hours to perform and may be possible depending on how big you are. Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or details such as height, weight or bra size. I need more information to give you a more accurate answer.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
This is a very common combination of procedures. There is always the risk of blood clots in a long procedure. Generally I like to keep surgical time under six hours
Generally it is safer to have a single anesthesia and surgery instead of being put to sleep twice. I have done this combination of procedures several times and have done tummy tuck with other breast procedures or liposuction many times. If you use a surgeon that does this regularly, it is done quickly and efficiently to keep it as safe as possible. I am usually done in less than 4 hours and never ever exceed 5. This is the time studies show the risks start increasing. Anytime I fix the diastasis rectus in a tummy tuck I keep the patient overnight in our overnight stay area so the patient is up moving every 2 hours and other efforts to avoid complications especially blood clots. Discuss all in detail with your surgeon. Good luck.
Dear Enthusiastic3892,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Yes, all three procedures can be done at the same time in healthy individuals who are not overly obese. If your stomach area is very large, it would be safer to do as two separate procedures.
Combining procedures is common and considered safe as long as not too much is done at once and you are in general good health. Based on the procedures that interest you, it is reasonable that all could be completed in one trip to surgery. You will need to begin by visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation. During this important meeting your medical history will be reviewed, an exam conducted and you will discuss recommendations with your surgeon.
Dear LaughLines2006, my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two...
Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and...
Hello! Overall it looks like you lost no ground. Uncertain if at baseline your breasts looked different. Your scars healed beautifully. The best way to get upper pole maintained fullness is with augmentation, either with fat or implant. Implant will give more precise definitive result. The...
Dear PicklesNOlives, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the...
HI Tokit1892, It is not uncommon to see the nipples pointing up once the bottom pole of the breast has been stretched out after breast lift surgery. It is very important to provide internal lower pole support for the breast tissue to help prevent this phenomenon. In your case you have two...
