1 month post-op: my stitches look like they are too tight, it's created a hard dent, will this go away? (Photos)

Question

I had a breast revision I'm almost 4 weeks out but where my stitches are on my right breast I have such a hard indentation am wondering if that will soften up and go away once they settle of if this is something I might need to get fixed or if there is nothing I can do?

It's difficult to answer the question without knowing the details of your surgery. I would contact your surgeon so that they can give you recommendations and let you know how they expect things to change as your implants settle over the next five months.

It's only a month so  so give it plenty of time with massage it may help. However with a doughnut mastopexy it is not uncommon for there to be a little puffiness or puckering,  like you are seeing. Most of the time  after six months this can be corrected in the office under a little local anesthetic and your surgeon should be happy to do that for you!

as your concerns are certainly valid but we do not know what you were like before and what the revision was planned to address.  Its just your outcome certainly has many issues with it.  So discuss your concerns with your surgeon.  But in reality, all you can do at this point is heal and hope everything resolves to your satisfaction.  Once 6 months or more have passes, revisions can again be considered.

Thank you for your question and photographs. From your photograph, I can see your area of concern. Without knowing a little bit more about what was done and what you might have looked like preoperatively, it would be difficult to assess what's going on. If there is truly not a paucity of breast tissue under that portion of the incision, then with time, and gravity, this should move outward. Should this not take place over the next few months, some release of the scar tissue and/or fat grafting may be necessary. I would recommend you follow-up with your chosen plastic surgeon.
