What is the average costs in DFW for an implant exchange?

One of my mentor CPG implants ruptured after being implanted 10 years ago. The DFW plastic surgeon i used 10 years ago quoted $7,280 which includes the $2,700 warranty discount mentor is providing for the replacement mentor implants. Is that figure typical for this type of procedure in the DFW area? It seems very high. Thanks, D

Hi.  Providing that you just need to exchange the implants, the cost in my practice (in Southlake and Fort Worth) ranges from $4000-5000 after what Mentor will reimburse you.  The surgery is typically easy to tolerate with much less downtime than your first surgery.  Let me know if you need any more information.  Best of luck!

Do you have capsular contracture or any other implant related issues in addition to the rupture? Those issues would increase your price. Since this is a cohesive gel implant, total capsulectomy may not be necessary. Simple implant exchange would be a quick and easy procedure with lower costs than you were quoted. Even if a total capsulectomy was required, I think the $9980 is above the average pricing in Dallas.
