Breast reduction and my breasts are still too big, what can I do?

I am one week post surgery. I started at a 32DDD and asked to be a C cup. My breasts are slightly smaller but if you didn’t know I had surgery, you’d never be able to tell. My clothes fit the same. I put on my DD bra just to see and it fits perfectly. I am so sad and unhappy. Is there anything I can ask my doctor to do about it? I’ve been waiting years for this and I wanna cry because i look the same.

You are very early in your recovery. Give your body and breasts time to heal. Talk with your surgeon about your concerns at your next appointment. Best wishes!

One week is way to soon to see your final result, you probably still have a lot of swelling. It may take several months before you see the final outcome. Try to be patient, good luck!

Sorry to hear about your disappointment, but the good news is that you are very very early in the healing period.  It will be about 4 months before you can judge your results.  Things will change quite a bit between now and then and you may be quite happy with your size once the swelling has subsided and the breasts have settled.Be patient and continue with your surgeons recommendations.Hope that helps.

Dear bertness,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast reduction surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen.
