Should I worry that my breast implants won't drop?

Pictures would be helpful.   Implants should be placed where they belong at the time of surgery to avoid the whole "settling" phenomenon. 

I would start implant exercises and a bandeau (band) to see if it helps (it can't hurt at this point).  If there is no appreciable change in 3 or 4 weeks you may need an additional procedure to release the pocket so that the implants can settle.

Implants "drop" into position over 3 months following surgery. Everyone progresses at different rates. What is actually occurring in your breast, is the implant is expanding the lower pole of your breast. Breast bands can help tremendously. It would be helpful to see some photos of your implants. Ultimately, I recommend that you speak with your surgeon about your options at this point. 

Breast implants tend to start dropping into place after 3 to 4 weeks. They usually will get to their final position in 6 to 12 months. One will usually drop faster than the other, and the shape may go through changes.  Please follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon's post op instructions. For example; we like message, but some surgeons will have you wait, or do it in a specific manner. Please let them know your thoughts and concerns.

Implants place under the muscle take longer to settle down than implants placed over the muscle.  If you have very strong pec muscles (you mentioned you work out) then it is most likely the reason why your implants take longer.  Be patient, massage aggressively (esp after workouts) and you will see them drop.  If they do not (that can happen), your surgeon can go in and release the pec muscle surgically to let them come down.  But at this time I suggest you stay patient and massage

Thank you for your question.. In my observation you are too early in your considerations, give it time to settle. Don't worry, 9 weeks post op is to soon to determine what your breasts will look like. At this time, what you are describing is normal. Be Patient, you should see final results within 4 to 6 months. Continue to follow instructions by your doctor and you will see a drastic change as they settle. It is important to stay compressed and wear a stabilizer bra that both supports and help push the breast into the area or choice.

The best thing to do is schedule another appointment with your surgeon and discuss the issues with him.

At 9 weeks, it is too early to accurately predict what your breasts are going to look like. Having said that, my thoughts are that if the implants haven't dropped by now it is unlikely to drop the amount that you probably are hoping for.

Hard to comment specifically without seeing post op photos, but in general implants can take many months to completely settle into position.  I would give it more time anyway, as revisionary surgery at just 2 months post op would be a bit early in my opinion.

At nine weeks it is still a bit early.  I would give it a few more months to see how the breasts settle.

I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you have after breast augmentation surgery. It may help you to know that breast implants may continue to “settle” for several months after the procedure was performed. Although I do not want to second-guess your plastic surgeon, I do not think there will be any harm in performing downward displacement exercise/massage;  you may find the attached link demonstrating this technique helpful to you (you will need to scroll down quite a ways on this page).
