I am 9 wks post op & my 375 mod plus silicone unders still won't drop! I'm pretty happy with the size but they have that high upper slope that I hate esp when trying on swimsuits! I never wanted that fake look & expressed that clearly to my ps. He didn't give me any massages to do, just said to start moving them around at my 1 month appt. he never recommended a breast band either even when I called back to ask they said no. I worked out a lot prior so is that part of the reason & should I worry?
Answer: Implants Not Settling.
Pictures would be helpful. Implants should be placed where they belong at the time of surgery to avoid the whole "settling" phenomenon.
I would start implant exercises and a bandeau (band) to see if it helps (it can't hurt at this point). If there is no appreciable change in 3 or 4 weeks you may need an additional procedure to release the pocket so that the implants can settle.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Implant position Implants "drop" into position over 3 months following surgery. Everyone progresses at different rates. What is actually occurring in your breast, is the implant is expanding the lower pole of your breast. Breast bands can help tremendously. It would be helpful to see some photos of your implants. Ultimately, I recommend that you speak with your surgeon about your options at this point.

Answer: Early Evaluation Hi Thank you for your question.. In my observation you are too early in your considerations, give it time to settle. Don't worry, 9 weeks post op is to soon to determine what your breasts will look like. At this time, what you are describing is normal. Be Patient, you should see final results within 4 to 6 months. Continue to follow instructions by your doctor and you will see a drastic change as they settle. It is important to stay compressed and wear a stabilizer bra that both supports and help push the breast into the area or choice. Best of Luck!Dr. Dillon

Answer: Breast Implants Won't Drop? Breast implants tend to start dropping into place after 3 to 4 weeks. They usually will get to their final position in 6 to 12 months. One will usually drop faster than the other, and the shape may go through changes. Please follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon's post op instructions. For example; we like message, but some surgeons will have you wait, or do it in a specific manner. Please let them know your thoughts and concerns. Jeffrey J. Roth, M.D., F.A.C.S. Answer: Breast Implants Too High after Breast Augmentation?
I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you have after breast augmentation surgery. It may help you to know that breast implants may continue to “settle” for several months after the procedure was performed. Although I do not want to second-guess your plastic surgeon, I do not think there will be any harm in performing downward displacement exercise/massage; you may find the attached link demonstrating this technique helpful to you (you will need to scroll down quite a ways on this page).
Best wishes.
