Does using Mod, Mod + or HP affect the width/height of your breasts or just projection? Which is the best option for me?(photos)

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You will have a great result with breast augmentation. Implants are typically selected to fit your breast footprint and usually do not widen this significantly. However, you should expect volume and projection.

The best option for you is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

The various profiles of implants are simply the ratio of the width and height of the device. Low profile implants are very wide for their height, and high profile implants are very high for their width. Based on your anatomy, your calculated volumetric needs, and the kind of 'look' you would like, you and your surgeon will determine the necessary size and profile of your implant. One word about a commonly misunderstood phenomenon, upper pole fullness. There is a believe that only high profile implants can give you upper pole fullness. This couldn't be further from the truth. HP implants only do one thing reliably: give more projection. Upper pole fullness is reliably gotten by the a sufficiently wide implant of sufficient volume.

breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small.You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.

During your consultation, you will be measured and can try on a range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Based on the size you select, your surgeon will choose the profile.

From your photo it appears you would be a candidate for breast augmentation and possibly a lift. This would provide more volume as well as raise the position of the nipple. The profile of the implant you select determines how much projection there is. A 325cc implant in the moderate profile will be wider than the 325cc implant in the high profile. I think you will be happier if you have a mastopexy or lift.
To get the result you want with more fullness medial and superior a lift will be needed. If you are happy with fullness when wearing a bra, then an implant only will do that.
