I'm 20 years old and I've been working out (mostly lower body) for the past 6 years. Recently due to working 2 jobs and school I haven't been able to be consistent in the gym for the past 4 months and have lost most of my lower body gains. The opportunity has arisen for me to get a bbl and finally fix my hip dips + make them a bit wider while I'm at it. I plan on going back to the gym after my surgery now that I've quit one of my jobs. While in the gym, I was 133. Now in 120 :(. I plan on gainin
Answer: BBL and Weight Training Thank you for your question. Weight training after a BBL can enhance your results because muscle growth from training can add volume and shape to your lower body. Over time, this can create a more rounded and lifted appearance, complementing the fat transferred during the BBL. However, you should protect your transferred fat cells by waiting about 6-8 weeks before returning to lower body weight training to allow the transferred fat cells to establish a blood supply and become permanent. Jumping back into workouts too soon may pressure the newly transferred fat, risking fat loss or shifting.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear strwbry_juicee, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. BAsed on your photos, it looks like you don't have much extra fat for transfer. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: The Affects of Weight Training After A BBL Thanks for your questions. Performing normal or heavy duty exercise will have the same effects on your body. If your body is prone to changing drastically after exercising, having a BBL done will be no different. That area of the body will change as well in respects to fat reduction. One cannot expect to workout and lose weight or get toned everywhere except their buttock region. The same applies to weight loss after a BBL. The fat transferred to your buttocks is affected in the same manner as when you normally lose weight or gain weight. Hope this helps. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, board certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Will weight training cause Brazilian butt lift results to be more voluptuous or will this have negative effects? Thanks so much for your inquire, Weight training, especially exercises that target the glutes like squats, lunges, and hip thrusts, can build muscle and add definition, complementing the fat transfer from your BBL. This can help your buttocks appear fuller and more lifted. You should wait until you’re fully healed and have received clearance from your surgeon (typically 6-8 weeks post-op) before starting or resuming weight training. Exercising too soon can put pressure on the fat grafts before they stabilize, potentially reducing the overall fat survival rate. With the right timing and exercise plan, weight training can enhance the voluptuousness of your BBL results and help keep them looking great in the long term. Sincerely, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol

Answer: Ans: Will weight training cause Brazilian butt lift results to be more voluptuous or will this have negative effects? After a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), weight training can enhance your results rather than negatively impact them. Building muscle in the glutes and surrounding areas can help create a more voluptuous appearance and improve overall shape. However, it's crucial to wait until you’ve fully healed before returning to intense workouts—typically at least 6-8 weeks post-surgery. Focus on gradual weight training, particularly exercises that target the glutes, such as squats and lunges. Avoid exercises that put direct pressure on the buttocks during the early recovery phase to protect the transferred fat. Always consult your surgeon for personalized recommendations on when and how to safely resume your fitness routine.
