I am 39 yrs old and happy with my voluptuous shape and I want to stay large, but I'm back on my workout to lose what I can, and the bulk is just too much. It's getting in the way of my fitness and mobility. I would like to get my whole abdomen done. I'm not looking for perfection, just a realistic reduction of mass. General anesthesia is too dangerous for me, so this is my only avenue. This would help me so very much. Thank you!

Answer: Liposuction It looks like you need to lose weight, but liposuction will decrease the overall volume of fat but will not treat the visceral fat, loose skin, or muscle weakness.

Answer: Abdominal contouring options The options include liposuction and tummy tuck, but you must remember that these are best for contouring and are not a substitute for weight loss. Diet, exercise and lifestyle modifications will be your best first steps. Following weight loss, if there are some areas that are difficult, liposuction could be used for improvement of these areas. Following weight loss and/or liposuction, you most likely will have excess skin that will not respond to diet, exercise or liposuction. In addition, the laxity in your abdomen would likely require muscle repair. A full tummy tuck with muscle repair would further improve your result. There is no quick fix, but if you can do all of this, I think you would be much happier with your final result. Liposuction alone at this time will likely leave you disappointed. For more information on liposuction, please visit the link below.
