Answer: Bruising and bumps after arm liposuction During the first 6-12 months after liposuction, it would not be unusual to have some bruising and bumps. The bumps will resolve over time as they are the internal scarring from the surgery but this will resolve. Sometimes there is a deposition of iron from the blood that can deposit in the overlying tissue and this too will resolve but at a slow pace. Show your concerns to your plastic surgeon and you can get assurance as to what is going on and what to do. In my practice, this is common and the resolution is very patient specific. Generally speaking, we do give patients the one year target date to judge the issues. Be patient.

Answer: Bruising Post Arm Liposuction Thank you for your question. I think that it is unusual but not totally unheard of to have bruising at two months. You should see it resolving day by day. The bumps can be due to inflammation that was caused by the surgery. Keep massaging and they should get better. It can take 6-12 months. Most importantly, have an appointment with your surgeon so that they can examine you and at that time you can express your concerns. Good luck.
