Had 371cc implants put in almost 10 years ago. Wanting to remove them and have fat transfer done. I am 5'9" and 125 lbs and not sure I enough much fat other than thighs. Would this be all one procedure or would I have to heal from the explant before doing the fat graft procedure? Thanks for the help! Especially from Colorado or NYC doctors

Answer: Breast implant removal + fat grafting Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Yes, it is possible to simultaneously remove the implants, and fat graft the breast. However, fat grafting provides less support to the breast than an implant. When the implant is removed, it is likely that you will have a significant amount of resultant droopiness, or ptosis, of the breast. It may be necessary to perform a lift at the same time. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation in person with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
