Hello, thank you for your question. You need an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine if Botox or another treatment may help. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider. Best wishes.
Hi and thank you for your question. Neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, may be used to reduce nasal flaring however this is an off-label use. Only a few units are needed and maintenance is every couple of months. It is important to note that this will only affect the muscle movement and will not change the width of your nose. I recommend you meet with an experienced injector to discuss further. Best wishes
A microdroplet or two of Botox (or other neuromodulator injected into each ala (wings of the nose) can help to diminish unwanted flaring of the nostrils with smiling. Fillers, which are intended to correct static (at-rest) problems, such as wrinkles, would not be helpful for a motion-related (dynamic) issue, such as yours. What's more, owing to the blood vessels in that region, filler use would be ill-advised. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise in the advanced uses of Botox. Best of luck.
Dear abbygreene, Thank you for your question. Injectables are not indicated to stop the animation of your nostrils. Best of luck to you.
Hello and thank you for your question. Surgical rhinoplasty is a better, safer, and more reliable way to change your nose than botox or fillers. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty and a cephalic rotation of your tip to turn up your tip slightly. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system. You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon. If you cannot find enough real before and after pictures, then consider continuing your search for a surgeon. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Hello! The width of the nostrils will always increase with smiling due to the fact that the cheeks move laterally with a smile and the nostrils are attached to the cheek. Your photos are taken from different angles but if you are unhappy with the drop of the tip with smiling or nostril flare while breathing or at rest rhinoplasty will help. Botox is not typically administered to reduce the width of the smile as it would make your facial movements seem unnatural. Your smile is quite wide and one would naturally expect your nostrils to move laterally with your facial movement. I hope this helps, stay safe!
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Your pictures show a very normal change with muscle animation and I would not recommend any treatment, injectable or surgical. Best wishes.
Botox can be used to help minimize nasal flaring. The treatment is done in the office with final results seen after two weeks. The product effects will gradually fade over approximately three to four months. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.
Botox or any neurotoxins can be used for nostril flaring and only a small amount to each side is necessary. Your question may not be quite that easy and an assessment in person is truly needed to actually see the nostrils flare. The picture only shows a widening of the nose and the tip pulling downward but that is normally seen with smiling. Not sure if the camera angle has something to do with the picture. Once again a true assessment when you smile is needed to see if the nostrils are truly flaring which botox can help or is it normal widening.
This is a complaint that we get every now and then . Yes , it can be managed easily with BOTOX . The treatment will need to be repeated every 2-6 months . It is an off-label use of the product .
