Hello, thank you for your question. This is an excellent question about an issue that does cause some confusion. Some patients may believe they will build up resistance to the effects of Botox if they get multiple treatments. This is a rare occurrence. Actually, the results of Botox injections tend to last longer for patients who have already had several treatments.
Thanks for sharing your question. It is ok for you to receive Botox injections every 2 months. It is unlikely to develop antibodies to it. Good luck with your treatments!
Thank you for your question! Repeating botox every two months will not make your body produce antibodies against botox. Best of luck to you. Dr Dhaval Patel Plastic Surgeon Double Board Certified ChicagoHoffman Estates Oakbrook Orland Park
No getting another injection in two months will not cause your body to form antibodies against botox. I have offered repeat "touch up" injections as soon as 2 weeks after the first treatment if necessary
Thank you for your question. Having Botox two months after a previous treatment should not increase your risk of Botox resistance.
Thank you for sharing your question. No previous Botox to your crow’s feet will not lead to resistance. Hope this helps.
Formation of antibodies to Botox is rare. However, the presence of antibodies has been attributed to shorter dosing intervals of 2 months, booster injections, higher doses per injection cycle, and higher amounts of antigenic protein. Botox is a foreign protein to the body which may result in the formation of antibodies, but again, this is rare.In consideration of the above, I would refrain from too frequent treatment with Botox and to use the lowest effective dose for your needs. In summary, the risk of development of antibodies to Botox is low, but greater than zero. Hope that this helps.
Repeating Botox treatments sooner than 3/4 months will not cause your body to form antibodies against the treatment. Even having more injected after one week will not cause your body to form antibodies against the treatment.
Hello, and thank you for your question! Having Botox injected two months after a prior treatment should NOT increase your risk of Botox resistance. Botox resistance is fairly rare but can occur, typically after years of having Botox injected. - Dr. ShelleyOklahoma City, OK
You will not increase resistance to Botox by having a treatment two months after a prior treatment. Botox resistance can occur, but is fairly rare. Botox final results are seen two weeks after injection and the results gradually fade over 3 to 4 months.
Hello and thank you for your question. We would always recommend a face to face consult however in this case yes botox would be fine and not a contraindication to treatment. We hope that answers your question. Best wishes
Hello and thanks for your question. Yes this would be no problem, always seek a qualified and experience practitioner, best wishes
Hello, thank you for your question. I recommend you to talk to your surgeon before injecting Botox, every surgeon has different preferences. Best of luck
